Hi all. My boobs are flaking/peeling. If I rub my boob it’s like dead skin comes off? When I have a bath I use shower fell on my sponge and use the scrub side to give my boobs a good clean, when I dry them they still flake and I can feel them peeling when I rub cream into them after, is this normal? They are well hydrated daily xxx

P.s I use the scrubbing side of my sponge to get rid of the peeling bits as washing normally wasn’t doing anything for them

Thank god it’s not just me haha, I didn’t think it would go on for so long now, I’ve had it for just over a week now and I am continuously putting cream on them. I’ve just googled it and other ladies that have had a ba were told that it’s the skin stretching that’s causing it. Hopefully it goes away for you soon! Xxx

    Hi

The skin stretch is a killer! Have you tried baby oil? Massaging a bit daily lessened the effect for me.

    Hey

Try gently exfoliating with a flannel and a gentle apricot kernel scrub the only thing I found tht stopped the flaking and kept my boobs moisturised all day no dryness was Jamaican Black Castor oil.
It’s well known for several things and a natural cure for really dry skin and scalp, eczema and acne.

I was told not to use bio oil until 6 weeks. I have been using body shop vitamin e cream. Your skin is dry as in a bra 24 7 Hun. I took my tape off today and started moisturising my scar as well. I would avoid the bio oil until 6 weeks x

I was told not to touch the scars for atleast 6 weeks. I still have my tape on as the surgeon told me to leave it. I really wanna take it off though 🙁 how’s your scars looking? I haven’t seen mine yet don’t want to either lol xxx

Flaking skin is normal and it’s only just gone away for me (9.5 weeks post op). Just keep moisturising daily and gently exfoliate 1 or 2 times a week. If you’re not yet 6WPO then your not advised to apply oils / lotions to your breasts but if you choose to, make sure you keep it well away from your incisions!

The nurse told me it was ok to use this lotion or E45 cream just not bio oil. Will be ok for incision as well. You can ring to check if you want too. I guess our advice is different as we didn’t go to mya Nikita. Course you can wash Hun. I took my tape off yesterday as nurse said wear for 3 weeks
