I had Dr Traynor at preston- 400cc
My admission time was 1pm seen several nurses/ doctors for medical checks etc! I went down to theatre about 3. I wasn’t nervous until I was about to be put to sleep but the manger nurse with me kept saying I’d be fine and I was very reasured! Next thing I new I was awake and she kept asking if I was ok. I kept falling back to sleep but when I opened my eyes I just felt like I was drunk haha. It took about a hour and half for the anaesthetic to wear off and wasn’t in any pain at all just restricted arm movement. I was offered tea and toast when I was pulled round!
All the nurses were so friendly and helpful even made me laugh a few times.
The worse part for me is sleeping upright. I had hardly any sleep and so uncomfortable… Sore bum and neck! Just hope I can get use to it!
I’m only 1 day post op but even filling out a sports bra is making me smile! I hope I reassure people that there’s nothing to be afraid of and possible one of the best decisions ever! X
