    Heyy,
Thought I would share my experience so far with the MYA process as I know that I was a little unsure about what happened and I thought others wanting to start their journey would find this useful 🙂

    1. The first stage is arranging the first call back, here I was asked if I would like to book a free e-consultation to discuss the next steps. We had a little chat and the woman on the phone was really lovely and made me feel so comfortable about starting this process! This is SUPER long so I apologise but I know I’d rather all the details 😂

    2. I had my e-consultation I think it was 4 days after the initial phone call (I think this appointment is usually on a system you can see each other on but the system was down at the time of my appointment so we just did it over the phone) Here you meet your care co-ordinator for the journey (if you decide to move forward). You have to watch some videos/ answer some questions about your body/ breast type before talking to your care coordinator.
She asked me why I was thinking of having it done, discussed when I was thinking of having it done, told me the prices and then asked if I had any questions (I recommend writing a few down as my mind would’ve gone blank otherwise 😂).
We then booked my surgeon consultation which is F2F- if you live far away/ had to book time off work for this appointment then I recommend asking if you can have your nurse appointment on the same day, luckily they could squeeze me in on the day otherwise I would’ve had to book another day off work and drive back over (I like about 1.5hrs away so would’ve been a bit of a faf!)

    3. Next was my surgeon consultation which I was the most nervous about as I am not one to get my boobs out in front of people I don’t know (which I bet is the same for most people! 😂) My appointment was with Mr Mileto and he was very professional. We had a quick conversation at first and then I had to take my clothes off for him to examine. He did a measurement of my nipple distance and then a measurement from my boob to the middle of my chest (I think) He then pulled just above my boob to feel the elasticity (also a guess but makes sense in my head😂). He never touched my actual breast and there is also a woman supervising if anyone is worried about being alone in the room! (I definitely recommend taking someone with you that will be honest, I took my boyfriend and it was great to have a second opinion and also made me feel more comfortable)
You then get to try on different sizes!!! After that you will talk over some medical questions, he will ask the placement you are thinking of having and then give his opinion and then it is done before you know it!

    4. You then have a quick discussion with another lady and this is where you will book your surgery date if you are ready to continue!! Again another lovely conversation and made me feel so comfortable! You will also pay a deposit here to be able to book your surgery day- mine was £750 at the time (not sure if this price can fluctuate though).

    5. The nurse appointment, this is where you will get your BP taken, Bloods (if you need them, I didn’t but I think some people might), weight, and height (this info is for when they are putting you under anaesthetic to make sure you stay asleep basically). You then get photos of your boobs for your ‘Before pictures’ and then that’s it!

I have another appointment booked in a few weeks time (another e-consultation) to go over my medical records to see if everything is okay and how it should be with the nurse-this is another chance to ask any questions you might have after the surgeon consultation.

And that is all I know so far but I’ll keep it updated as I go!

My surgery is booked for April 9th 2025 😊 Can’t wait!! I’m going from 32B and having 325cc implants.

    My general advice:
    – Write down any questions you might have as your mind can go blank!
    – Take your time trying on the sizes and also ask to see bigger and I was happy at first until I increased and realised I preferred it!
    – Take a tight fitting top to try the sizes on with (I wore a baggy black t shirt and couldn’t tell at all what it properly looked like! Luckily we had time between my surgeon appt and the nurse appt so I went to buy a white tight top so I could try them on again!
    – Take someone with you- it is so useful for a second opinion but also makes you feel more comfortable! Plus they can get photos for you 🙂
    – TAKE PHOTOS!!!! Do not feel embarrassed to take photos from the front/ side you will love looking at them and it also helps you to make a decision if you are in between sizes!

Honestly try not to be nervous as there is no need! Everyone there is lovely and will make you feel so comfortable and confident about your decision!
