Hey ladies. I thought I would share my experience since I have been on this forum for the past 10 months reading through everyone else experiences which has really helped me!
I arrived at the First Trust Hospital in Preston yesterday about 13:55, my admission time was 2. The nurse came for me a bit 14:20 and before I knew it all my tests had been done, the anaesthetist had been to see me, and Mr Traynor had been to see me to confirm size and to draw on me. I was down in theatre at 14:55!! Very quick which I was impressed with. I woke up around 16:45 and started talking to the nurse about wanting a Dominos pizza…random haha.
Got my back to my room and was a bit drowsy but never went back to sleep properly. The Hospital decided to keep me in overnight as they didn’t want me to go home as its about 1 hour and 30 mins away. This really took me by surprise as I was happy to book into the Ibis hotel not far away but Mr Traynor had sorted it so I could stay at the hospital. Absolutely lovely man!!!
The nurses were in very frequently which I thought was brilliant. I was given plenty of food, water and tea and I’ve been treated to a very high standard.
Mr Traynor said everything went well and that they look great. He said they’ll be nice and round once settled. At the minute they feel as though they are in my armpits!! Haha.
Only took some painkillers this morning as I didn’t need any at all last night. Think I’ve experienced worst pain – child birth haha.
Just waiting to go home now, and I can’t wait to see my babies!!
I had 450cc HP Overs.
