My op has been cancelled!!

I’m absolutely gutted. Was supposed to be having my op in 2 days and I’ve litrally just had a call from my pc telling me they can’t go ahead because Dr Mounir is in hospital! I really don’t know what to do, the next date they offered me was in April! I go on holiday a couple of weeks after and also start a new job! Plus I get married later on in the year so I wanted it all out of the way well before then!
I’m so so upset, I think I’m going to have to cancel altogether now ???? Has anyone else’s op been cancelled so close to the date? I know it can’t be helped but it’s just gutting xx

Mine has to – was supposed to be having it on 20th Feb – I know he can’t help it but I’ve arranged so much around this I’m so so upset right now – can we even get a refund?

Mines been cancelled and it was supposed to be tomorrow. Me, my mam, my partner are already at the hotel unpacking after a 4 hour journey on the train and I’ve not long had a phone call to say it’s cancelled. I’ve just sat and cried my heart out. I was so close and it’s all gone boobs up. The hospital is literally a 5 minute walk from here 🙁 xx

Mine was booked for tomorrow. Also canceled with Dr Mounir 🙁 2nd time it’s been canceled. Gutted

Mines not booked in till march but phoned my PC last night and he may be off for some time. I’ve been offered Dr Traynor or Dr Andrea instead. I’m going to travel down to see Dr Traynor and if I like him as much as Dr Mounir then I’ll go with him. If not I’ll arrange my surgeory for later on in the year back with Mounir. I choose Mounir as 3 of my friends have had theirs done with him.

From what I can gather he was taking in with little notice himself so unfortunately its just one of those things. Could happen to any of us but I do still appreciate it doesn’t stop us been gutted. Let’s hope he makes a speedy and healthy recovery.

Hi All, my op has also been cancelled with Dr Mounir which I accept & appreciate it’s one of those things, although I’m disappointed. I was offered another surgeon but I really wanted to hold out for Dr Mounir so my new date is Monday 24th April. Hope you all get sorted x

Unfortunately and without any warning, Mr Mounir has to have a medical procedure for health reasons. This means he will be out of action for a short while. We forget too easily that our surgeons aren’t super human. There are options available and the clinic teams are calling all patients personally to find solutions that work for each individual; the initial focus is on this week’s activity.
