So about my surgery…
I was staying at a family members house in Surrey, they dropped me and my fiancée off to the tube station & we got off at Warren Street & it was literally 5 mins away.
We got there for 09:40, got shown to my room at 09:50. I had a double room but with only myself in there. The nurse & ward staff came in pretty much straight away. They done my pregnancy test & I put on my gown etc. The nurse then weighed me & had to fill out some forms. Then met the anesthetist, he was lovely & I asked for the cannula to be put into my hand as any where else freaks me out.
Everyone was so friendly & amazing. They all literally put me at ease & I didn’t feel no anxiety (which i usually suffer with).
I sent my fiancée to ask how long it was going to be until my surgery but they didn’t know :/ soo… I sent him to the gym as you hear stories of being there hours and hours before being seen. Then 10 mins later Mr Marcellino came in lol.
So I saw Mr Marcelino around 12:20 & he said it’ll be about an hour & half until surgery. They came up & got me an hour later. Went up to the anaesthetic room, they were all so lovely. Considering I was on my own bcos I had sent him to the gym I felt so relaxed in their company & then I went to sleep. Woke up about 3ish & into my room 15:20. My fiancé came up straight away. I was a bit dazed for about an hour. Mr Marcellino came and saw me about 30 mins after surgery & said to make an appointment to have my strapping off two days after (due to being allergic to butterfly stitches). He said I could leave once my anaesthetic had worn off. We left around 7:50. Rang a taxi company they recommend to take us back to Surrey. No pain, literally took painkillers before bed & that was it. I feels as if I had been to the gym & pulled a chest muscle.
All in all I had an amazing day. ?
Post op – day 2
Today.
Had to go to MYA to see Me Marcellino & my nurse Leah. They decided to take my strapping off & they’re ordering me a breast band to wear instead
But I am so so happy with my results so far ??
Thanks Hun! Had two hours sleep but in to much pain now 🙁 X
They look great @katielee
Hope the healing goes well. Once you get past the first week it’s gets so much easier. I found the first week I was uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep, walking hunched over. After week one it gradually got easier. I’m not in week three and sleeping like a baby with my two new assets and no pain.
Happy healing xx
Thanks girls.
Super happy with them! Haven’t been able to walk much today though & been in and out of sleep (which isn’t a bad thing, I love sleep haha)
Waiting for my breast band to be delivered though, hope it doesn’t cause no complications bcos I haven’t got one on now:( X
