My admission time was 10.30am at Fitzroy hospital and I was a bit nervous about going on my own but I didnt need to be cos I was looked after so well by everyone. My PC Hannah called me to wish me luck and all the staff at Fitzroy were amazing and couldnt of been more helpfull. I was half an hour early an within five minutes of arriving I was shown to my room. I was told by the nurse that I was third to go down. I think I went down about 1.30 in the end but it went so quick.
The weirdest feeling was having the canula put in and the anasthetic when I laid down I was thinking can I go to sleep now as the put something in before the anasthetic that made me feel really drowsy…and then next thing I know I had come round in recovery and was taken back down to my room.
I took books magazines etc with me but literally all I wanted to do was sleep felt so tired so the whole thing went really quick!
My room was lovely, the staff were great the food was yummy so overall its been a good experience just hating the feeling of being so tempted to blow my nose and getting used to breathing through my nose!
Good luck to anyone with their op soon you have nothing to worry about! xxxx
