well i did it ; ) i now have my wonderful new rack ; )and id do it all again tomorrow, it has been so worth it
i was sooooo nervous pre op, mostly about the anesthetic and the needle, but everything went soooo well!
my admission time was 730, i arrived, the anethetist came my to my room, i told him i was mega phobic of needles so he said i could have gas first, which i was so relieved about! Then Dr A came and marked me up and talked me through what would happen. He is such a lovely man and would recommend him to anyone! he makes you feel so at ease (and is very funny too) ; )
after that i waited a few hours until the nurse came to get me at 11;10am to go for my anesthetic, i started crying in the lift as i was scared and nervous. ; ( the nurse was lovely and said it would all be over so soon and i would be fine
i laid on the trolley and they put the mask on me and fixed the tube in, the gas tasted lovely of sugar and sweets lol, i kept telling them it tasted nice but i felt well drunk lol. i must have dropped off within about 5 seconds as the next thing i remember is waking up, asking for my mum and asking the nurse if i can have some of that gas stuff to take home its lovely lol, she said no it had to stay there ; (. she said now that i was awake she would take me back to my room to see my mum, i kept drifting in and out of sleep and talking rubbish saying they have done my boobs havent they and trying to look at them lol. when i looked down they looked so huge! as the day went on they didnt seem as big.
i wasnt in that much pain really, its bearable it just feels tingly and numb. i didnt eat much of my lunch as i kept feeling tired and couldnt barely see ( i kept asking for my glasses but i think the anestetic was making me have blurred vision so i dont think they would have helped lol)
at 730pm the nurse came to take out my drains (the dreaded bit) although it didnt really hurt, just a weird pulling sensation that was it, i was like oh is it all done?
i left the hospital at 8pm and went to stay in a hotel with my mum for the night nearby. i have been fine just a bad headache through the night and felt really tired.
its day two and i can already tell a difference from yesterday, i am over the moon that i now have boobies, i cannot thank dr aurakzai enough ; ) im just resting now and listening to the weird squishy and sqelchy noises they make every so often lol ; )
xx
Wow, congratulations and thanks for sharing. Mine is in Jan, i’m so excited wish it was tomorrow!
Keep us posted, would be lovely to hear how you are doing as time goes on, how you are coping with day to day stuff etc.
well i cant put on my coat my mum helps me, and will be doing for the next week, im in bed atm, but still managing to use my laptop ; )
the pain is bearable, i loved my day at the hospital and i loved the gas n anesthetic more! i want to do it all again, not bad to say i was crying my eyes out before!! x
I must have been with you yesterday. I had Dr Aurakzi for same op. Went down at 10.00a.m. but left at around 4.30p.m. I’m so glad that you’ve mentioned the weird and squishy noises because I rang Emma the nurse earlier to ask if this was normal as I’d never heard of it before. I’m not in that much pain at all and haven’t touched any painkillers yet, but do feel as though I’m stiffening up a little as the night goes on. I would say the worst thing was trying to sleep up right last night..no sleep whatsoever!
What size did you and did he do under or over – what a lovely man!
Sorry just seen what size you had and over – mine are a 340 over – I was a 34b before…they look huge, I just hope a lot of it is swelling as I didn’t want to go too big lol
i went down at 1115am, left at 8pm, i hate the squishy noises! it goes through me lol ! hope they stop soon! dont think there is nothing to worry about though, i had 325 in my left n 345 in my right to make them the same size, 34b before and i had overs, im on painkillers, although pains bearable, i slept semi upright kept getting violent headaches, apart from that i love them! i want mine bigger im hoping they dont shrink much! booby greed already! ; ( dr a is lovely cant thank him enough xx
Hi Ericjane, just wondering how you are getting on? Are you still really swollen?
hi ptrs2080 do you have any photos? when did u get urs done? I got 340cc overs on thursday, was previously a 34B and now they look huge!! currently in a 36DD sports bra but obviously still really swollen. I’m mogibearkid@aol.com xx
Hey Girlz
Ive got my surgery on Wednesday 3rd Nov with Dr Aurakzai, travelling down from newcastle to manchester for op. Im so nervous but after reading your comments im not feeling as bad now and your story ericajane was very helpful. Im having 300 in my left with an uplift and 340/380 in my right no uplift (been left in a right mess from breast feeding my son) lol.
xx
im still a bit swollen, righty feel sorer than lefty, they have shrunk though, hoping they dont go down no more!!
Im having dr aurakzai on wednesday Im absoloutley pooing em! But also very excited! congrats on everything going well xx
lottie just realised your on the same op as me! 3rd nov with dr aurakzai
Hi Momo, I’m afraid that I haven’t taken any pics but I had mine done on 26th Oct. At first I thought they were huge and was a little upset because I only wanted to go to a D at the very most, but they seem to have changed shape so much since then. I’m wearing a 36D sports bra which seems fine. I have my 1 week check up with the nurse tomorrow, which I’m looking forward to but have to admit that I’ve already picked the tape off today because it was driving me mad.
EricaJane – my left is so much sorer than my right. I keep getting like a sharp shooting pain every so often but have probably overdone what the DR Auraczi said not to do. But i have a 10 & 8 year old who need looking after and make a terrible mess lol. My skin feels really sore as well – like prickly heat on just one, but other than that they’re rounding quite nicely and the gap in between is getting smaller by the day. Have you been taking Arnica supplements? A few of my friends suggested I take these as they are supposed to reduce swelling and bruising- you can buy them in Holland & Barretts…
Lottie – I was really nervous on the day, which is so unlike me, but I think it was the thought of being put to sleep which I’ve never had before. The nurses are really nice and before you know it’s all over. I went down at about 10 and left at about 4.30p.m.. I had over’s so not sure what the pain is like with unders, but it was no where near as bad as I imagined – I still haven’t opened the painkillers that they gave me. The worst thing for me is having to sleep upright – which has left me totally exhausted…not looking forward to going back to work on Wednesday! Dr Aurakzi is amazing – such a nice, funny guy, who will make you feel so relaxed. When he came to visit me before the surgery I said I was nervous – he said “I’m not – don’t worry, this is minor surgery for me” – even diagnosed that he thinks I have an over active thyroid and told me to get myself checked by my doc. Hope it all goes well for you – honestly, If I hadn’t have paid, I think I would have backed out the night before but it’s no where near as bad as you think!
Hi ptrs2080, thanks and good luck with your appt tomorrow. I’m going for mine on thursday. Gee I know, the tapes are so annoying and I’m getting really itchy now. Are you able to lift ur arms high up? I am although not done it much cos I’m scared i do any damage but I’ve got very little pain and my hubby goes back to work tomorrow so I’m going be home alone looking after my 18 month old toddler and will need to use my arms a bit more i.e. open high cupboards, change nappies, change his clothes etc. and I’m really worried. Also, how long have you been told to wear surgical socks for? They’re really annoying me too lol! thanx xxx
Hi Momo – I didn’t have to wear surgical socks? They put something on during the op, but then never mentioned anything at all. When I got to my appt yesterday and I advised the nurse that I had taken the tape off already, she said that was fine and I could have taken it off a couple of days before – wish somebody had told me this before! She also said that it’s fine to start cleaning/hoovering etc but just take it lightly. She said to remember that we still have internal stiches which are healing and so not to stretch your arms up to high to reach in cupboards and things. I forgot to ask how long you have to sleep in a bra for, it’s really annoying me now – still no pain but my skin feels like pins and needles. Imentioned this yestreday and she said that it’s just the nerves coming back together. Would be so nice to sleep without a bra and get a bit of air to them lol
Hi ptrs2080, thanks and glad everything went well at your post op. i think we need to sleep in a bra for about 4-6 weeks……..nightmare Can’t wait til tomorrow, need to see under the tapes, so curious. Will try not to lift my arms, got my hubby to take everything i need out of the cupboards before he went to work and everything in the fridge was at the lowest level so I didn’t have to stretch. I’m running out of tops that fasten at the front too, did she mention when you can put on t-shirts / jumpers that go over your head? xx
