Thought I would share my experience so far because it helped me a lot reading other peoples:-) I baffle on abit so sorry in advance. My clinic was in newcastle and my Pc was Julie who was absolutely lovely and nothing was too much for her, she replied to all my emails the same day and changed any appointments if needed! I then booked for my surgery for the 26th of September with Dr Traynor, really really happy with the results! He’s straight to the point which I think is way better! He said I was allowed 250cc up to 350cc after trying all my implants on with my PC I decided to go for 350cc under the muscle high profile and yesterday was finally the day!! My admission time was 11am however I was a little late due to the bad signage getting there, down the street where the hospital is the roads say “access only” and “no through road” which you ARE allowed to go down to get to the hospital! (We went up and down about 5 times haha) finally got there and gowned up, gorgeous stockings on(which someone’s can make you itch) and also had a room on my own! Saw a range of different nurses who took my temperature, pregnancy test etc, I then met my anaesthetist who was quite funny which put me at ease and also Dr Traynor who drew on me with my measurements, at about 2:30 I finally went down! Eeeek I was so nervous at this point but all the staff were so lovely and it was over in seconds! One minute I was falling asleep the next I woke up with new boobies! The pain was pretty bearable when I woke up, I don’t remember much between getting from the theatre room back to my own bed but once I was propped up and started coming back round I was fine, the nurses let my mam in straight away which was nice, took my temperature and heart rate and I started to drink water, my mam had to drive to Asda which is about 5 mins away to get me a new bra because M&S measured me and told me I was a 34 back when really I was a 36 so none of my sports Bra fitted!! She got a nice one from Asda which is really comfy and it’s two for £8.00! Finally got to see my boobs and take a few photos, I was worried at first because I’ve read it takes a few weeks to like them but I loved them straight away! No boob greed nothing! There the perfect size for me I’m so happy! I started off as an A and currently wearing a D sports bra(I’ll attach some picture below) I left the hospital about 6:30 with co codamol and ibuprofen in hand! The car journey was okay in a little bit of pain but bearable! Had one co codamol tablet when I got back and got to sleep pretty easy up right with my V-pillow (life savers) currently 1 day post op and the pain is a little bit worse but not as bad as I was expecting, however I have just woken up so not holding my breath. The little things that you don’t even consider like getting changed, pushing down on door handles and lifting up the toilet seat are a struggle for me, my mam and dad have been angels! The pain might get worse or better I will have to see once I’m more mobile! Going to ring the doctors tomorrow and try to get a sick note as work have been really funny and awkward with me asking what surgery etc etc! Hope this post helped you girls a lot and if you wanna know anything just ask! Ill try attach my photos! Xxxx
Hi Abbey, omg they look amazing! I’m just in the process of picking a surgeon it’s so good to read other people’s experiences! How did you find Dr Traynor? I have had a consultation with Dr Andrea but can’t see many reviews on him so I’m looking see another surgeon before I decide! I have been offered 300-350cc hp under the muscle (currently a small 34b). What size were you before? I’m hoping mine will look just like yours! 🙂 xx
@loze hi Lauren! I found Dr Traynor really good! He’s not very chit chatty but just straight to the point and I went with his decisions 100%! He picks sizes based on your height weight and body frame which is good! He’s one of the best I would say! A lot of good reviews about him! I was about a 36a before and I’m now fitting in a D but I’m only one day post op! I’m so happy! I had 350cc under the muscle high profile x
@abbiesummerson thanks so much for your post abbie. I’m still researching and have 2 consultations booked with 2 different places. One of them Mya. I want to shop around first so to speak and not settle on one place straightaway ! Keep us posted with your progress!
They look amazing! How are you feeling now? My surgery was the 24th so we are very close in post op recovery 🙂 xxxxx
@mamaoftwox Felt really sore this morning but after some co codamol I felt fine! Got a two weeks sick note off the Doctors aswell so that’s made me feel less chewed! How are you? Xxxx
Relax plenty girl 🙂 I feel absolutely fine. Stopped pain relief now (POD3 today) I’ve had no pain at all though really i just took the cocodamol for the stiffness. I think I’ve been really lucky so far. I’ve got strapping on though so I just can’t wait to get it off xx
@mamaoftwox What are you doing about showering etc? I’m just running a bath now gunna try wash my bottom half and my mam is gunna attempt to do my hair! I’m dead OCD with stuff like that! Always showering ???? I’ve just taken some co codamol so I’m feeling fab ????????????
I had a shallow bath day 2 and I wash myself every morning & night. Washed my hair POD2 & POD3 as I’ve to wash it every day. I’ve no pain so I’m just trying to remember to take it easy. I bet you are ???? The cocodamol made me too drowsy xx
