hi girls, I love reading these stories and they’ve helped me prepare so hopefully mine will help a few pre op girls too!!
I had the best experience possible yesterday, my admission time was 8am, we were coming from Bolton so set off at 6.45am to avoid traffic and got there at 7.30am
All the night staff were leaving and every single one said hello and asked if we’d been attended to as we were waiting
At 7.50 I was taken straight to my room where I settled in, put the sexy gown, paper knickers and socks on and the lovely nurse went through some questions whilst also just chatting to me and my mum
Then a doctor came in and the anesthesis who asked me near enough the same questions and had a lil chat
Then I saw Mr Traynor, when he walked in I said hi are you ok and he said ‘why are you asking me?! I’m fine I’m not the one putting myself through unnecessarily surgery’ hahaha he was so nice he drew on me then turned me round to tie my gown back up and was very sweet, felt almost dad like??? I asked him will I have more boob under my nipple (I’m tubular) and he said he would be lowering my crease and that he knew I would be delighted with how much boob I’ll have under the nipple!
Then another nurse came in who said she would be taking me down as I was first, I gave my mum a kiss and hug and went down ( can’t believe I didn’t cry!) they all kept commenting on how much I was smiling ha!
I lay down on the bed in theatre and they put the cannula in as they kept me talking, I then felt the anesthetic go in which wasn’t unpleasant, I felt it and tasted it at the back of my throat and I remember telling them and asking if it was ok, they reassured me it was and they were looking after me and that’s the last thing I remember!
Next thing I was back in my room at 10.30am with the nurse waking me up (can’t remember which one) I kept asking where my mum was!!
I had a look at my boobs and as I was still abit high I couldn’t stop whipping them out I kept shouting OMG they look amazing look mum!! She finally said PUT YOUR BOOBS AWAY hahaha
I had my tea and toast, I walked around the room abit which made me abit flushed and sick feeling. The nurse came to take the cannula out and give me my meds and said when I’d had a wee I could go….trying to have a wee was the hardest part, id drank so much water but couldn’t go :/ finally had a little one and we walked back to the waiting area to wait for my dad, I threw up a tiny bit whilst waiting and got home at 2pm where I was abit sick again but nothing major!
This morning I just feel abit tight around the chest and tired as sleeping upright is abit difficult!
I feel amazing though, I can assure anyone having doubts that this is the best decision I’ve ever made, I can’t wait to see how they develop over the coming weeks. Can’t believe the volume and that I actually have boob under my nipple I wanna give Traynor the biggest hug and kiss 🙂
