mya aftercare..

Once again been shown how bad myas aftercare is. I have been told I can only have one boob fixed because the ‘better’ one isn’t as bad as the worse one they are willing to fix. I currently have naturelle implants as these were the best implants offered to me at the time of my op. A week after my op mya changed to mentor implants which today I was told by my surgeon are less likely to cause CC and prevent CC from reoccuring. I requested to have my implants swapped to mentor and was told it would cost me a ridiculous amount and alot more than my original BA cost even though they have already agreed to fix one breast so surely it should be significantly cheaper?? Why does mya think it’s ok to fix some girls in my exact position without charging a penny yet expect me to pay a disgusting amount to fix something that isn’t even my fault? If anyone could answer this I’d be grateful as my phone calls never get returned and I don’t know what more I can do without having to take legal action….

All breasts have a level of Capsular contracture grade that determines if surgery is required; a surgeon would not operate on a breast that is fully healed with no infection and has achieved a good scar. This is in line with best medical practice to only operate on the one breast due to its level of capsulation. Further surgery can increase the risk of CC so no surgeon would operate unless necessary.

I have tried speaking to my PC who I only met yday which is ridiculous as I’ve been a mya patient for over a year now. I finally got through to my PC today who didn’t have a clue about anything I needed to know and has basically brushed me off to someone else now so I’m back at square 1 with no help from anyone at mya once again . My surgeon told me yday that I need to replace my naturelles with mentor implants as these are less likely for CC and even wrote in in my notes yet it’s still been declined? How can people sat in an office decide what is medically best for me when my surgeon has told me what I need and is willing to do it but you won’t let him… don’t surgeons know best??

Also I have been talking to a lady in my exact position who was offered work on 1 breast but has now been appoved for them both to be done who had her surgery last week, she had her naturelles replaced with mentors and even increased her size without paying a penny. So why is it ok to treat your patients differently and pick and choose who you help. I never had a bad word to say about mya and have stupidly recommended them to lots of friends… Unfortunately I got CC which was no ones fault yet the aftercare I’m receiving is disgusting.
