Hello all, I am looking for some information I had breast implants in 2009. I was guaranteed 10 years and now in 2024 It appears that one may have ruptured, so I need to have them removed and replaced. I am in the UK and I had them done by MYA in London. The surgeon I then used is retired now so I am starting completely from scratch and looking for good recommendations. Not really sure how to go about this this time round. Thanks in advance

Hi Beth, I actually had to have a CT scan because I had pneumonia and was struggling to breathe. They found something on my breast area so they referred me over to the breast clinic as an urgent patient as they had suspected breast cancer. I have got the all clear. There is no cancer there, but they can see silicone in my lymph nodes and sitting underneath the implant so I do think they will confirm on Wednesday with an MRI that it has ruptured. I believe then they will remove it but they will not replace it.

Oh no! I hope you’re okay!!!!! Did you have any pain?
The car door fell on my left boob in September, it was excruciating for around 3 weeks then settled. Swollen, faint bruising but felt absolutely fine after! After Christmas I noticed a lump, no pain. 2 weeks ago I noticed the lump but also pain, I’ve had pain since & wonder if it’s ruptured. Both boobs look & feel the same but I have an appointment Monday with the doctor who I imagine will refer for an ultrasound. Totally gutted. My implants are over the muscle xxx

Surgeon wise, if you want a lovely natural look, have a look at Linda Fiumara x

Hi Beth have you got an appointment with MYA or your own doctor? Only asking as I am 5 years post op, about 2 weeks ago I noticed that one of my implants was different, it feels like it has shrunk, I have no pain and no lumps but was worried this was a rupture x You
