    Hi Amy,

Have you had a BA and if so, which implants did you have?? I read that the FDA are undergoing lots of research into the implants at the moment, but it was provisional ‘approved’.

    HI

yes i have had to BA and did not realise untill after that my implant was not FDA approved, kiarah Transform would say that call them and ask them
which implants they are using and if they allergan cui, which i have heard they use then they are not FDA approved.
google cui implants and see for your self.

I had mine with mya and was not given any information about FDA approved implants.

at the end of the day girls it is your choice but please reasurch the type of implant first,
do not always belive what a company tell you. THEY WANT YOUR CUSTOM X

your fretting over nothing, seriously, sunbeds are not fda approved, contact lenses are not fda approved, a lot of cosmetic things are not fda approved, the only implants i think which are fda approved are the mcghan implants which tranform have (claimed) to use, but have fobbed people off by changing their option to PIP implants.
It is not illegal, most implants havnt been out long enough to test.. They are completely safe, these are medical experts and they would not put anything in your body which they feel are unsafe! especially if it would impact on their jobs!
Most companys do not use fda approved implants and dont need to pay for fda US testing.
    completely legal!

Thanks for all your comments. We just wanted to clarify a few things about the implants used by MYA.

MYA offer a range of implants all manufactured by Allergan, the largest manufacturer of breast implants in the world. The shell of the CUI implant contains six separate layers of silicone. This is exactly the same as the premium range implants. The CUI range are Class 3 certified and CE marked medical devices. This is the highest European and UK regulatory standard. Please be aware that the FDA certification refers purely to the USA market and the CUI were never put forward to get the approval. The Class 3 Certification that they have is the best possible in Europe and the UK.

Please feel free to discuss this at your consultation with your patient co-ordinator.

    😐 Hi

Yes lots of things are not FDA approved and i agree not everting needs to be.
as for sunbeds stacy they should not even have the C.E. mark on them as its a well known fact that your risk or getting skin cancer increases by 50%.

But breast implants are something that we are putting in to our bodys that have to last a long time,

FDA approved breat implants are the only implants have been put through many years of trials while being implanted in the breast,
while C.E brest implants have not, so basicly we are the guinne pigs for them in our bodys but are not offerd tests eg. mri’s for rupture, tests to see how much silicone serums levels ect That we have with C.E breast implants.
i had a test for serum silicone levels in my body due to being unwell and mine was 58.3. normal level is between 2 and 10. Silicone is in every day products eg. make-up, and this has been taken in to acount for the normal level 2-10.
Most companys including MYA seem to play around the confusion that CUI are by Allergan but Allergan also sell a more expencive fda approved brand called Mcghan / Inamed.

THIS IS WHY WE ARE NOT OFFERED A CHOICE OF IMPLANT MYA like to try and keep to useing the same brand as they save money buy buying them in bulk. You may be supprised to know that when you are paying around
