Mysterious case of rippling!!!!…

I got the shock of my life this morning, there i was leaning over to pick my bra up after having a shower and saw the dreaded rippling, deep obvious ripples underneath and down the sides of my boobs!!! In a panic i gave them a message and maybe it was a miracle – they went away! and i cant feel them now at all, i’ve been massging all day now incase they come back! I thought rippling was permanent! Am I a miracle? hehe! hoping it doesnt return…

it didnt last huni, i spoke to the lovely nurses and they said it will be ok to wear a bra, not that they would go against what the surgeon said, i was just advised that if its painful, wear a bra, so i put my macom back on! i’ll go braless at home when i’m not doing anything but as for going out and to the gym, i pop the bra on!

Yes no complaining, just checked again and nothing there, maybe i had a funny moment and dreamt it?! Lets hope so! haha!

Yeah I don’t blame you, I would fancy going out braless much to be honest either. I’m sure they’ll still settle into place in time.

As for me, well Im over 3 weeks PO now and I’m ok in terms of healing, everything’s going well, nurse says my incisions are looking great etc. But I’m feeling really down about my boobs. Although they are softer when I poke them, I just can’t move them to the middle. I can’t imagine I’m ever gonna get a cleavage. They are just stuck there My boobs pre op weren’t really close together anyway but I could use a push up bra to bring them up and to the middle. Now, I don’t see that ever happening. Its lovely weather too and i csnt go out without a coat coz every top i seem to put on doesnt seem to cover my spirts bra. Feeling so fed up at the mo. Was looking forward to my 6 week bra shopping trip but I’m not at all now to be honest coz I just don’t think I’m gonna get them to look good in a push up bra coz I’m feeling like they’ll never budge

hon, only yesterday did i get mine to touch together, mario told @bek10 to squeeze hers together 100 times a day to get them to move closer. I started doing that too and i’ve just got them to touch yesterday! Bear with it, they just need more time, as for sports bra and hot weather, i’m with you on that one, fed up with no clothes to wear! just about managing with the same muscle back vest tops every day in a different colour, cant wear any dresses and even tried new ones on to comtemplate going braless and my boobs dont fit in them! god knows how i am going to fill my wardrobe! my trouble is my waist is small – only a 6-8 but my big boobies dont want to squeeze in anything that small – unless its casual stretchy stuff like basic vests – in which i can wear any size!

I’m not looking forward to going shopping as much now – its my birthday next week – at 6 weeks post op, perfect opportunity to shop but i need to change the way i dress to accomodate my newbies, and i’m not sure how to dress them ?? i do love my boobs but i cant walk around naked 24/7!! haha! not after the school run, only walked to school in a tshirt and got constantly beeped!!! a bit inappropriate on the school run!!! haha!

Really? Just yesterday you got them to touch. I’m so fed up with mine. I also have the incision way below my natural crease line on my left boob for some reason. And you can see it a mile off as its not hidden. I have no idea why he’s done that, unless he had to lower my crease and I just need to wait for my boob to drop and then the insicion will be my new crease?! Seems strange coz it’s not as tho Mario would of done it without noticing as its not just slightly lower than the right incision, it’s quite alot lower than it It’s annoyed me coz I was last on his surgery list, so by the time I woke up and came around I’m assuming he’d left to go home. So I never got chance to see him after so he could let me no how it went and if he did do anything different like lowering creates etc. I just feel a bit in the dark! But oh well! I’ll just have to sit back and see what happens with these things in the next couple of weeks lol!

I’ll bare what Mario told bek about pushing her boobies together, I think I’m a bit to early post op to start doing that yet maybe? Might leave it another week or so till I’m over a month PO. xx

hey natalie luv iv just noticed rippling on the sides of both of my boobies its just when i bend over they look bloody awful and horrid to touch too! thankfully no signs of rippling when im standing normally though so fingers crossed they stay that way!!! great news bout you now being able to sqeeze the boobies together do you think the squeezing helped? as iv not really seen any difference yet and iv been doin bout 300 a day lol. ginag84 i was 4wks post op when mario told me to do it so maybe wait till then hun, fingers crossed it helps you! im happy with the shape of my boobs but hate the gap in the middle to me it seems far bigger than it was pre op! xxx

Ditto bek, i had a gap between mine pre op so am not expecting miracles but mine does seem bigger now than before I’ll wait till a month before I think about doing it! xx

@bek10 – its awful isnt it! i’ve looked again this afternoon and i can see it ever so slightly when bent forward like a contortionist! unlikely that anyone will see me like that so like say, its ok when standing up. i wonder how many people read this and checked thier boobs for rippling?? its an automatic response isnt it!!!

Hope you get progress in teh booby squashing together process bek10 and ginag84, hopefully it may help you soon too! I didnt have much of a gap befoer though so that might be why its worked quicker on me, although just trying it now, they wont go together today, prob have to keep squeezing them all day to get there!

I woke up on my side this morning, god knows why the pain didnt wake me up cos it hit me when that alarm went off! i’ve been dying to sleep on my side, definately not ready yet, might have to strap myself to back position!

ginag84 – the lower scar sounds strange, he will be able to explain when you see him at post op, see if you cna get an earlier post op appt, i had mine at 4 weeks po.

charlie24 being honest the rippling doesnt look good thankfully mine is only when i bend over but you can clearly see indentations running down the sides of my boobs and when you touch them you can run your fingers along them and push them in if you know what i mean, feels bloody horrid! but fingers crossed you will be ok, just because hes said you’ve a higher chance of getting ripling doesnt mean you will hun he just has to warn you just in case xx

Did your rippling ever go away? 6weeks post op I am n its so obvious from nearly every angle so upset. BUT when I wear a bra its not noticeable which I can cope with but the hole point of my ba was to be able to go braless , Xx
