Hey girls I am having cui implants with a nipple lift because I wanted to save myself 400 pound but now am very worried because I see so many girls r getting natrelle, suppose they r more expensive for a reason do u think it would be worth asking to change them to natrelle? Thanku for the help xxx
Yes I think when I next speak to my pc I will mention it as I’m not having my op til may so hopefully have time to change. Can I add u please & thankyou x
I would speak to your surgeon and see what they recommend, my surgeon actually prefers cui, he’s worked with them for 14 years and is very happy with them, his words to me were “if you want to spend more of your fiancΓ©s money get those, if not get cui” I appreciated his honesty!. I’ve had cui as have many girls on here and I’m very happy with them!
Hi Hun, plenty of girls have cui. Not approved in America only means they haven’t been able to fund the research with FDA. Doesn’t men they aren’t safe. Just personal preference. Surgeons like mr traynor wouldn’t use them if they weren’t safe x x x
Thanks girls good to get different people’s opinions, sounds like I need to have a chat with my pc again. Lol Kirsty that makes me laugh but good point xx
Nagor aren’t FDA approved either but made in UK with 33 yrs of excellence … My surgeon highly recommends them… Like others said its really the surgeons preference π x
Uninformed? What the hell? How rude!
Lets not be saying that CUIs are inferior Francesca’s. and let’s not be upsetting people. This forum is for help and support and advice , not to be rude
Ohh wow… !!! π
Mrs rich, I can’t believe it! X x x
Not America not having the funds, the company allergan haven’t got the funds to pay for all their implants to be FDA approved. There are about 7 manufacturers of implants and only about 3 types are FDA approved
What was I saying the other day… Civil and friendly ladies..!! no0108 have a quick drink hun and Breath..!! Haha.. Xx
I would but I’m poorly lol! Posts like this make me want to leave the forum. Shouldn’t be coming on here to insult people and make them feel like they’ve got inferior implants. This is about help and advice π x
Ahh hun … Come on.. we’ve heard it all before…!! Gotta chuckle really… Some people just have a way of getting people’s backs up! You have your info right , soooo..! π xx
Thanks Hun. I know I have. Can’t compare CUIs with pip, too scary for the thousands of girls on here that have them. They are fine girls. Mya mod, can you please remove this post? x x x
Wots a nipple uplift ? C
The nagor implants are the only ones made in the uk and they are meant to be the best ones if I would have been able to have them I would have my auntie had breast cancer and had to have her breast took off and these are the only implants that can be used afther cancer so they must be bloody good has any of you girls have them ? X
My friend has got them, I know some bupa clinics use them. My friend had them with my breast. Guess what, they aren’t FDA approved! Doesn’t mean they aren’t fantastic, just that they are uk based, so they hven’t paid the millions of dollars for the ten year FDA trials like mentor, allergan (for the natrelle) and silimed. They come with lifetime wArranty x
My friend said they have the lowest rupture rate, which I just checked, it’s 0%!!! Wow, lower than any others http://www.nagor.com/safety-notice.html x x
Ohhh good link chic! π x
I’ve got cui implants and I’m really happy with mine I had mr kazzazi and he said the same to me I’ve used cui for ages but if you want to waste your husbands money then it’s up to you but the cui are just as good so I went with what my surgeon said I’m 4 months po now and they are fine people go with what they prefer it’s totally there choice xxx
Ashleigh everyone has different opinions on which implants they prefer, you need to research each implant & weigh up the pros & cons against each other for what you want. Every surgeon is different & some prefer some implants over others.
Both implants are good otherwise MYA would not be using them, some people do get defensive however it is a big decision to make…. Good luck x
Mya mod, can you please remove Francesca’s post likening CUI to PIP? Too scary by far for those with safe and reliable CUI. Thanks x
Both CUI and Natrelle implants are made by Allergan which is a reputable company so I’m sure both implants are safe and are produced to a high standard. CUI is the standard, cheaper range from Allergan, is not FDA approved (though as we live in the UK this may not be the be all and end all), and I think it doesn’t have as wider range of sizes and profiles and has a different shell and feel to Natrelles.
Although some claim certain implants have lower risk of this and that, without any good research into all implants on the market to compare I think it’s hard to say what is ‘best’. You can still have complications with any type of implant so I guess it’s down to preference of you or your surgeon. If you have any doubts @Ashleigh I would see your surgeon again to discuss things. Just to say, I went with a surgeon that only used Natrelle and the fact that they were being well researched through FDA approval gave me peace of mind and confidence to go ahead with this range too, as when I was going through consultations it was when the PIP implant problems were all over the press.
Slightly off the original topic, the way I read @Francesca‘s post I’m not sure she was directly comparing CUIs with PIPs – but I see other people have read it differently. I don’t think people should ignore the PIP scandal when doing their research into different implants. I think she has a valid point in that when earlier concerns were raised about the PIPs some surgeons or companies continued using them or were not aware of information emerging in the area. Not saying this happened with MYA as I have no idea if they ever used PIPs. I think part of the problem was that many women didn’t know what type of implants they were getting or didn’t know much about them so I think it’s good to see people are thinking about it now and asking the questions. The PIPs were vastly cheaper than the alternative implants on the market and this turned out cos it wasn’t the right grade silicone and the quality wasn’t there so it was a case of what you paid for. But just cos CUIs are cheaper than the Natrelle it doesn’t mean CUIs are poor quality and unsafe cos they’re nowhere near as cheap as the PIPs were and I don’t think it can be compared as a similar situation.
Sorry for the essay, juts trying to keep it balanced cos I saw it getting a bit heated!
