Need advice please regarding breast band

Hi gals , I really need some advice
I was told (by the nurse)I need to wear my breast band for 4 weeks po.
The problem is my boob are not sitting high what so ever , actually I would say they sit lower than I really want them so I’m worried that breast band would only make it worse n maybe if I stop wearing it it stops pushing the boobs down.
I found consultation with the nurse is bit useless as she’s only going by the pre set notes
Do u recon I can ask for surgeon appointment to check with him ?
