Hi girls thought I would share my story , I was originally booked for surgery on 13th January , so I went to Preston and got admitted and seen the nurse and then the anethetist came in looked at my medical notes and refused to put me to sleep as I had fainted a few times last year , this was a massive step back for me I was devastated , away MYA found another anethetist who agreed to put me to sleep he spoke to my GP and got the go ahead for the 26th yesterday , my admission time was 12 again , I rocked up at half 11 and went straight to my room I was so nervous because I kept thinking I’m going to be turned away again , within half hour I’d seen a nurse and doctor , mr traynor and the anethetist I was shocked how quick they came , and then at 1pm they took me to theatre ! They struggled finding my veins and the canulla hurt as my veins are so tiny , they put the mask on me and I thought Jesus i feel really drunk haha next thing I know I’m awake in recovery still out of it , I asked was I dreaming and did I have new boobs and the nurse said no your not dreaming you have boobs and I started crying ! Haha I went back to my room and I was in loads of pain so the nurse gave me more painkillers , the canulla was hurting even more so as soon as the drip had finished she took it out which hurt ! Neather the less I felt lots better and got discharged at 6pm , got home and had some tea then I wanted to sleep . I’m still in a fair abit of pain and can’t sleep much , j feel very tight and I’m struggling to move or go to the toilet without aid , my left boob is slot more swollen than my right so ice packs are on , I hope this recovery gets better !
