I’ve been on the forum a few weeks but had my surgery yesterday so thought I’d finally make a post rather than just reading everybody else’s 🙂 I didn’t have my surgery with Mya so I won’t go into my pre-op and surgery details as I doubt they’ll be much use to you. I did have 450cc overs though from an empty 32b/c (breastfeeding & pregnancy) so if anyone has questions about those feel free to ask)
I had a fair bit of asymmetry but not enough to warrant different sized implants as I wanted polyurethane implants which come in fairly large increments so the jump between sizes was too big. I was happy with that though as I had my heart set on those. I’m not sure if Mya does polys? My breast shape and nipple position was also uneven but both my surgeon and I didn’t feel it was enough to justify a lift on one side. I’m amazed at how good they look straight out of surgery though – he’s done an amazing job at evening them up! Hope they stay that was as they settle! They’re also such a great size too – hope they don’t shrink too much! haha!
The recovery so far has been good – my surgeon is very relaxed. I have a surgical bra on and splashproof incision covers on so I can shower straight away which is great. I slept really well with a few pillows propped up behind my back and head to elevate me just a little bit. As long as you aren’t lying completely flat then you should be fine.
I’m in a little bit of discomfort but not that bad. Mainly just pressure and sore like when you overdo it at the gym. My boobs are pretty swollen at the minute and feel kind of like your face does after a trip to the dentist, it’s really strange.
