I would only have ba on NHS if it was for medical reasons. My ba was cosmetic so feel its only right that I pay for it myself.

Yeah NHs is for people who have lost their boobs due to cancer etc not cosmetic reasons.

Even though I was completely flat before my ba and was severly lacking confidence I would never concider having a procedure for cosmetic reasons on the nhs. I think its incredibly selfish considering the state of the nhs, they refuse small children cancer treatment and life saving operations because of the lack of money for god sake. What gives us the right to ask them for bigger boobs? I will never agree with anyone having an enlargement on the nhs unless, like Jamie said, its for people who have had them removed. I’m 18 years old with a minimum wage job and worked my back side off to save up for this operation! I don’t believe there should be an easy way out!

I had tubular breasts pre op and did go to the doctors. My reason was not for vanity it was because they hadn’t developed properly but I choose to pay as I felt that I would be treated better x

I perhaps could have tried my GP/the NHS, but I never did.
My surgeon told me that I had a congenital abnormality with my breasts, confirming what I already thought.
However, because it wasn’t something that was causing me any physical pain, I decided to go private.
In my opinion, my BA was a cosmetic procedure.
I think people that have completely lost their breast(s) deserve those implants over me, no matter how bad mine looked, at least I had them.

I also knew that with going private, I would have some say in the look I wanted and the implant size, rather than being told what I was going to have and just the experience in general!

All depends on the person I guess, but it was nice to pick my surgeon and talk about what I desired 🙂 and I also didn’t have to wait around which was a massive plus! I got mine done within 17 days of my consultation.

she is now getting rid of her unborn baby to go on big brother… says a lot about her really…. I went to my gp to see about looking in to a boob job and he told me I would be accepted to have one on the nhs as one om my boobs had not developed at all and the other one has but I am still going with mya for my opp and paying…. I worked my ass off to get one and feel so much better about getting it

I can’t imagine getting one on the nhs… I don’t think you’d get the same amount of support or your choice of surgeon xx

NHS should be strictly for medical reasons NOT just to make yourself feel better about the way you look. it’s a cosmetic procedure and should be paid for privately if it’s just because you don’t like the way you look in my opinion. also if you look up josie cunningham (scum of the earth) her boobs look absolutely terrible, incisions are standing out a mile away.

I agree, it is wrong for the NHS to let people have boob jobs unless it is for medical reasons such as breast removal due to cancer. The fact that people abuse this service is exactly why the NHS cannot afford some life saving cancer drugs which is incredibly sad. Well done to all you girls who could have gone on the NHS and saved up instead. I think it is a big decision and a lot of money but I do think it is right for cosmetic things to be paid for by the individual. xxx

josie Cunningham is a despicable piece of shit!! getting her nhs boobs and now aborting her unborn baby after tweeting the babys scan pictures…shes disgusting!! I hope she gets run over and her implants pop out of her throat!! anyway…there is one other girl on here getting implants on the nhs cant remember why shes not paying for it herself though and its not for anything medical just cosmetic, like the rest of us private paying girls.

While I totally agree that in 99.99999999 per cent of cases a ba should not be done on the nhs and only in circumstances such as reconstruction.I also believe in we should never judge someone til we have walked a mile in their shoes…..
And just because someone has been accepted by the nhs for one doesn’t mean they are another Josie Cunningham…..
Who definitely should pay he money back and no doubt if she has her baby we will be paying for that as well! (….lol oops just contradicted myself!)

I agree Nicole…. although I paid for mine and totally believe 99% of people shouldnt go through the NHS I think it is wrong of people to judge if they dont know the persons circumstance. I agree with sarah about Josie Cunningham, its sick and she clearly has something wrong with her to behave in such a bad way but for others that are going through the NHS then I wouldnt judge until I had walked in their shoes xxx
