So hey guys, just wanted some advice on how they do the whole bra measuring thing as i had a horrible experience, i booked my self in at M&S to get measured and when i arrived i was quickly sorta pushed into this small cubical told to remove my top keep bra on, and then she wrapped the tape around me quickly and shouted 34, but then refused to do anything else unless i brought a bra, i said i wasnt going to be buying just yet as my incision had opened and it still needs to be bandaged and im having to use sports bras for a little longer but would be back in future, she said she grabbed my sports bra and flipped the tag and said well this is a DD sports bra so your a DD i was just shocked at her behaviour so i put my clothes back on and just left i was really confused, can you girls help me a lil 🙂 xxx
Sounds like you encountered a very lazy shop assistant! Take your business elsewhere I say. I always find the fitting services are better in department stores.
Boux avenue are supposed to be one of the best shops for fittings x
That’s awful! I went to ann summers on Saturday & they were sooo helpful, the assistant became my personal shopper, fetching me all different sizes & styles to try. She even checked every bra I tried to make sure it was a good fit! I’d recommend giving them a go x
I wasn’t impressed with Boux. They did it by eye and fitted me in a 34E but I was getting double boob and the wire hurt my incisions, but according to her it was a perfect fit!
Then went to Ann Summers who also fit by eye and like Bex said they were amazing. Fitted me in a 34G and it was soooo comfy!
Do you keep your bra on? I removed mine /: haha x
Hi Emma I had the same experience with m&s they are rude to girls with breast enlargements I went to bravissimo they were really helpful I recomend them if your a DD or bigger as they specialise in bigger breasts xx
I’ve heard too many similar stories about M&S bra fitters. To be honest I don’t like their styles anyways, too Granny like and all stop at D cups (if lucky). I had to get some in desperation before but won’t be spending any more time or money there. Maybe they think because they work in M&S they are better than us? Lol
I had one rude shop assistant once. Not in this country though. But still took me by surprised, got intimidated and walked off without saying anything. Seconds after I got angry, walked back in and had a massive go at her telling how rude she is and I was going to buy lots of (designer) make up but because of her attitude she lost my custom and I’m never buying there again. If felt good and left her with an open mouth surprised hahahaha
I got measured after my uplift (due to have implants soon) and went to Ann summers. The shop assistant was amazing. She uses her own judgement to start with by looking at you in your bra and then she goes out the room and gets a bra for you to try on. If it doesn’t fit properly, she will keep going back and getting new bras until you are happy and comfortable with what you’re wearing but will also tell you what you’re looking for when buying it yourself as all shops are different x
