no bra at bedtime?

Hi girls when can I Not wear a bra for bed I’m 5 weeks post op and able to sleep on both side and tummy now it’s fab!!! But I’d love to no be able to wear my bra for bed and not sure time scale any ideas?

Hi angels, can I ask how your recovery has gone? My surgery is on the 20th just trying to get as much info as possible, who did yours and what size did you go for? Also I believe it’s six weeks until you can sleep without a bra, that’s what I was told but some of the girls who have already had surgery might be able to give you exact facts x

It’s 6 weeks however surgeons advised that sleeping in a sports bra at night all the time will help look after your breasts.!but if you don’t want to wear one you don’t have to.

@sparklyb I’m 7 days post op being driving for 2/3 days I’m back at work and looking after my 2 children on my own. I feel find. Chest feels heavy sometimes and get the occasional twinge and pains but nothing bad. Had my 7 day PO check today and scars look amazing. Overall it’s been no way near as bad as I expected. My PC has been fab and the nurse has called me 3 times this week just to check I’m doing okay. I’m really happy with my results was defo worth it xx

I’m 8 weeks post op and still wear a sports bra to bed for comfort more than anything.

IT’s best to wear them indefinitely if you can hun, it helps to *protect your investment* against sagging ect – a seamless bra might be more comfy than a heavy duty sports bra though 🙂 x

Hello, my nurse told me at my 6 week check that wearing a bra to bed is your own choice. I slept a few times before then without one anyway … Just needed a bit of freedom. I sleep in my sports bra most of the time but maybe 1 or 2 nights a week without. I’m sure one night at 5 weeks won’t do you any harm!
