No showering for 7 days?

Do they really mean no showering or do they mean don’t get your incisions wet for 7 days?
As we are ladies, and I just don’t want to be using baby wipes for that long!
Would you be ok to sit holding the shower nozzle and at least rinse you tummy to toes and then separately rinse your hair?

I had a very shallow bath for the first week and didn’t get any water near my incisions xx

Yeah that’s seems like another alternative. I couldn’t avoid washing completely for that long. I shower everyday

you shouldn’t really have a shallow bath the first week but if you need to you can just make sure its literally shallow and not too hot like steaming! I got my mum to wash my armpits LOL like a sink wash and I done everything else my self xx

Yeah I’ve been told wet wipes. I just can’t not wash my lady garden. Sorry for the over share but she takes maintenance. I feel so gross without showering (call me OCD)
I think ill baby wipe my underarms and just quickly rinse my flower petals. I guess my hair can wait 7 days

honestly when you have them done you will not care about washing haha well I didn’t anyway I used wetwipes for the first 3 days and then when I was more stable I was able to reach down I wash my lady garden properly haha! I got my mum to wash my hair at 5 days or 6 I cant remember by leaning back over the sink xxx

I had VERY shallow baths, I mean like a few cups of water in the bottom of the bath, I knelt in it and had a wash, I used a wet flannel for cleaning under my arms ect to avoid getting the inscion wet, so long as no water goes near your scar or dressings you’ll be fine with shallow baths x

When i was feelin well enough i had a shallow baths n kept sports bra on that was bout day 3/4 if u keep bra on plus my scars were covered ull b cool x

Hey hun! I know everyone is different but i had a shower from the strapping down most days as i was out and about shopping and stuff, i also got my sister to wash my hair every couple of days! I am very ocd about washing so i knew i wasnt going to be able to leave it! Like i said though everyone is different and i felt well enough to do this! I wouldnt advise it! As i pushed myself quite a bit! But everyone recovers differently i guess i was just lucky! But im not saying it didnt hurt too do all those things lol, try to rest as much as poss! xx

Lol @ scarlett 🙂 I had my 1 week post op yesterday and she said I could shower (yay!) But keep my boobs away from the water. Turns out its pretty hard! Might wrap them in cling film next time haha.

thanks @kirsty yeah i agree everyone is different, im not the type to not crack on with thing but obviouisly will take caution. hahahaha @lorna i cant wait to have these issues, the best of problems
