This can’t be happening! I’m all set to go in for my BA on Saturday afternoon but I woke up in the middle of the night feeling really poorly. I’ve just felt worse and worse as the day went on. I’ve got a horrible cold! I feel terrible, I can barely breathe through my nose and my throat is killing me 🙁
I know I’m going to have to call Mya tomorrow and let them know but I’m worried they will tell me that if I’m still ill or running a temperature that my op will be postponed.
Even if that is not the case I can’t imagine recovering from surgery as well as feeling like this!
Gutted this is rotten luck. Anyone been in this position and lived to tell the tale? lol

Oooh good idea. I’ll definitely give that a go! I’ll see if I can get in to see the doctor before work then get in touch with Mya. That way I’ve done everything I can.

    Hi Kim,
This prob not the best advice but I Had a fairly bad cold start the day before mine, I was gutted as that’s just my luck, it was the only time I could have surgery for another year so I rummaged in the medicine cabinet, took garlic tablets, sudafed, drank loads of water and when I woke up was fine, i had a slight sniffle but managed to hide it well and had my surgery as planned. Was fine! Think positive and you’ll feel much better 🙂 xx

I was like this before mine too, and like viki was panicking because this time is really the only time I could have done it for a while, but I took paracetamol, drank tons of water and just got a really good night sleep and woke up feeling so much better!! Don’t panic just yet, see how u are tomorrow and try not to worry 🙂 xx

I felt run down a couple of days before my op yesterday and just had lemsip and breathed menthol crystals to clear myself up, felt fine yesterday when I went in. Hope you’re feeling better in time! X
