Nose revision surgeon

HI there.
I had a nose job 4 years ago at the Harley Medical Group and the surgeon (I cannot even remember his name now I was going through a very difficult mental health episode) took way too much off my bridge giving me a horrendous ski slope nose 🙁 I was also in an abusive relationship during the same time and im pretty sure he targeted my nose knowing I had paid to have it made smaller and he has broken it a few times and caused serious trauma to one side making it look deformed and im basically seriously miserable. Selfies are totally out of the question and I shy away from all photos 🙁 When I had our son 5 months ago the photos made it so apparent of how much trauma he had caused. My pregnancy helped with my mental health and to also get away from an extremely dangerous person who is now in jail and away from us thank god. I now realise what a mistake I made with both my nose job and my partner and would like it fixed. THe more I look at it the more im reliving the horror 🙁 Can people tell me who they have had to fix broken bones and for revision surgery and send me pre and post pictures. I really cant afford to get this wrong. I am currently considering Stefan Gonchior as I know he used to do reconstruction and now does plastic surgery and also Ian Mackay who I know specialises in ENT. Any help and experiences would be greatly appreciated. I am aware of Basim Matti but to be honest I cannot bring myself to pay nearly 10k for revision for something I should not have had in the first place. I am also aware of JRJ but know Ian Mackay was his teacher so would rather go with the teacher not the student.

So sorry for what you have been through with your past relationships! Sounds like you need to do this so you can start fresh!

I cannot say so myself because I havent had to have reconstructive surgery. However my experience with DRG has been amazing!

I would suggest you book in to see him and talk things out with him – He would be the best person as he is the surgeon so knows what he is talking bout!

Thanks so much for replying, yes it was horrendous and I feel like I wont be able to move on till its fixed. I have booked a consultation so just trying to speak to as many of his clients as poss to reassure me 🙂

Hi everyone,

I’ve got my consultation with dr gonchior for revision rhino. I have been quoted £6650 by my PO. Does this sound about right to everyone? I thought it would be around £5k.

I’ve been reading on other websites people have managed to get a letter from their gp stating they are having minor surgery so will need time off work.

I know I’m going to struggle getting the time off work at the moment unless it is for medical reasons but don’t want to tell anyone I’m having a nose job.

Mya have said they can provide me a letter but will be on their letterhead so will be obvious it’s for a cosmetic procedure.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a letter from your gp?
