I thought I might answer this ive recently had caps put on my front tooth and the one next to it, I smashed the 2 teeth when I was 17 by falling onto concrete laughing, anywhoo im 26 now and for the past 5 years they started going black, so luckily the nhs dentist just last week put caps on for me and what a huge difference!! my fella has gaps between his top teeth and only veneers will sort this, his own dentist nhs will do it privately around 180 per tooth, veneers are very thin and the prep for your real teeth is not as bad like they do for caps, for veneers your natural teeth are shaved back a few millimeters and for caps your teeth are completely made into stumps but…..caps are much more solid as my brother in law had veneers spent around £5000 and has had constant problems with them falling out and cracking, it all really depends why you want veneers hun.
