I’m 8 months post op now and nothing seems to be changing! Someone please agree with me that these just are not dropping? I’ve had no changes at all since about month 4..
I’ve booked an appointment with a nurse to voice my concerns but am I overreacting???
The left one is so distorted!! You can definitely tell in photos, and they are still quite too heavy and not settling at all!
I’m only 1wpo but I’ve been stalking this forum for months and I totally agree something’s not right. You’ve done the right thing going to see the nurse. They do say the drop and fluff process can take up to a year but I would say 8 months you’ve been very patient. Needs to be at least a discussion.
I agree Hun doesn’t look right for 8 months, let us know what they say, im sure they will sort it out for you xxx
I’m glad I’m not the only one! I feel like I have so much scar tissue underneath my boob and that might be why they aren’t falling into place properly. I’m sooo frustrated xx
My mums looked like this and she had a seroma, I could be completely wrong but it seems the same and hers was stuck to the muscle/tissue. She had surgery again to correct it.
I hope you get this sorted. Xx
I stay your muscle is not letting the implant drop into its pocket so they sit sitting high while your natural breast is sitting normal is defo speak to nurse and get an ap with your sugoen xxx
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s stuck to be honest! The right side isn’t much better but it sits nicely, just have a lot of boob still up high.
I’ll have to just wait and see what my nurse says next week x
Hi hunny I’m seeing my surgeon on 27th mine are similar so high up still and nothing is helping them drop so think my muscle is holding on xx
Could be cc but def doesn’t look right if go back xx
The definitly still look high up like they havent dropped! Did you have unders hun? like someone else has already said it could be the muscle has not relaxed and not accepting the impant.
8 Months is a very long time to wait ! I would have been in before if i was in your position hun! You’re definitly not overreacting! Dont let them fob you off xxx
Research waterfall/snoopy deformity, im not sure what cup size you started out? If you allready had alot of tissue and were borderline uplift your own breast tissue could have fallen down from the implant, or your pocket has not been sufficiently dissected, being too small for the implant to fall into it’s intended position, also a seroma early on could cause this, good luck with your next appointment i hope you get a thorough diagnosis of what the problems are and how to move forwards xxx
Yeah I had unders and started around an A cup. I’ve said for ages I don’t think the pockets were opened up enough but we shall see!
I was going to go back in a few months back but I didn’t want to get fobbed off being told to wait for them to drop but I feel 8 months is about enough time to now know something isn’t right.. xx
This type of problem can sometimes be corrected without surgery with agressive massage and straps but at 8 months post op the window of opportunity for that is likely closed now, sometimes early post op it’s not taken too seriously as it’s a case of waiting for the weight of the implant to eventualy fill the lower pole if the pocket has been correctly dissected, i would call them tomorrow and ask for a review with your surgeon as there’s not really anything the nurse could do to at this point, yes of course she will examine you and have to reccomend you see your surgeon again but you might aswell start on getting that appointment lined up now, so sorry you have not had a fully succesful outcome but im sure they will commit put things right now you given more than ample time for things to improve xxx
Your right looks perfect to me but something isn’t right about the left
I don’t think you need anything to back you up Amy the ultrasound has simply ruled out a rupture, capsular contracture or rejection of a foreign body so your problems have not been caused by unwanted medical complications, it’s a process of elimination and your results will allow your surgeon to now diagnose what the further causes could be, visualy it’s quite clear what the possible problems could now be and if revision is required i dont think you would have any problems getting that granted, they can’t leave you like that.
They would probably still expect you to wait until the 12 month mark to arrange revision, im 10 months post op and still have changes frequently, so sorry your outcome was not succesful it’s very deflating when things dont turn out the way you hoped and expected but im sure this will be put right and you will have the outcome you originaly wanted in the end, good luck for your next meeting with your surgeon xxx
Hi Amy I was wondering how you got on did you get to see your surgeon yet? X
I haven’t seen him as yet! I’ve booked an appointment for the 31st xx
Have they changed any more at all Amy xxx
Nope not at all! They’ve looked exactly the same for months now xx
What did he say when you saw him??? Xx
@amyhodgsonx ·
Hi Amy, did you get any answers at your consultation? Hope it went well xxx
I’ve been so impatient!! But thankfully my day to day life is busy and kept me occupied lol..
He basically told me that we should never have gone 350 and we knew it was a push when we first decided on it but was just hoping it worked out.
Apparently I have a short chest which doesn’t give me much room for anything!
Slightly gutted I basically can’t go any bigger than 300 though as my intentions were to go bigger in a couple years time..
I don’t believe there is a cost, but I wasn’t 100% if I wanted to go through with it so I said I’d call back once I’d made my mind up xx
Hi Amy where was your implants placed?
@amyhodgsonx ·
Hi Amy, so sorry to see you will possibly need revision, such a shame you will have to downsize to eradicate your problem, did you have 2 different size implants? Or is it just that your chest is shorter on one side? xxx
@giraffequeen I’m gutted as I always wanted to go bigger and I don’t think it’s going to be possible. I have the same size implants on both sides but my left side is slightly raised due to breaking a rib a few years back and it healing weirdly! x
Oh dear not straight forward at all then, so sorry to hear that is having such an impact on your results and future expectations wishing you lots of luck with however you decide to move forwards Amy xxx

@giraffequeen I called them back today to give the go ahead and they have added me to the list for an appointment for a revision application. Then apparently I need to wait 6-8 weeks to get it approved. It’ll probably be another few months before anything gets done x
I was offered up to 350 ccwith Ms Lutz I chose to have 325hp or 320uhp I went with 320 uhp. As she explained I would possibly have the same problem . I hope you get yours sorted and are happy x all the best
