Not sealing???

Hi I’m now 5weeks 2days post op (second BA) and my scars have still not closed together? Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve been given no reason as to why I’m not healing and I’m following all the rules?? Getting very frustrated now and starting to regret having them done in the first place! Please say I’m not the only one?

Hi hun mine were healing slow i had to keep them covered for 6 weeks.. so dont panic its not unusual.. just keep a eye on them.. im nearly 12 weeks po now and they r fine xx

I’d say to see the nurSe as sometimes if there’s a stitch that is in the way and not dissolving that slows down healing. I had one stubborn one in the centre on my tummy tuck inscison, had a little hole weeping still, and after the took it out it healed together.
I’ve still got a bleeding sore from the corset,6 weeks on still not healed. I guess some just takes longer:(
But have it checked, it doesn’t hurt to see the nurse for reassurance.

I have, I have seen her every week since my op. That’s the frustrating part, she is saying nothing about it just “let’s hope it’s healed next week.” I’m back in the morning so fingers crossed.
