Hi how long after opp did nurse from mya ring you ? I was told that nurse would ring me yesterday evening ( I had my opp yesterday ) but haven’t heard anything yet is this normal does anyone know x thank you in advance x

I wasn’t told at all that they’d ring. Did they say what for?

Hey Hun I had my op 4 weeks ago I didn’t get told the nurse would call me but I did get told my pc would call but as she left and so did the nurse I guess il be waiting a while longer yet lmao on the positive side anything I have needed I called the clinic and they sorted try not to worry do you have your 1 week po appointment booked? xx

Yes got my po appointment on 18 September with a new nurse as the other one left x

I think its a bit hit and miss as to whether you hear from the nurse and pc’s. I did get calls from the nurse for the first few days just to see how I was doing, which I think is a really good thing. But didn’t hear from my pc at all, I know that some people get lots of contact from there’s but not mine. MYA really need to have a systems put in place for this type of thing as I think it’s quite disappointing when you hear one person gets lots of calls and then someone else gets nothing! x

Your right Trish its all down to patient care and unfortunately some people don’t care and has nurses that’s their duty. It should be the same policy across the whole company xx

Totally agree . I’m quire disappointed in mya for this , they were all over me at first but once they received payment that was it . I even had to phone myself for my admission time . Nurse told me she would ring me on evening of opp and haven’t heard anything as yet x

It’s all about the money isn’t it, do you know what I think I am going to complain about the lack of care I received yesterday, I would hate for someone to go through it. The first nurse I had Mary was an absolute gem and very casting and efficient, when she told me that her shift had ended and a Mandy was taking over and she was going to tell her my blood pressure had to be done, I never saw Mandy until my husband went up to the desk for the third time and I was crying with the pain but couldn’t cry properly because of the pain, delaying patient care it is xx

Yeah I couldn’t agree more! After care is shit!!! Excuse my French! Paid a lot of money for a company that was alimentary their after care was top notch an so far 2 weeks post op I’ve had not even 1 phone call! Xxx

I must admit my PC called me the day before my op and said she’ll call me a couple of days after too.
I only have issues with the one nurse and the lack of care I received from her xx

I was told I would recieve a call 2 days after my op….did I get one no. Has my PC called before or after op? No. Not great to be honest but when I rang mya the other day when I was really ill they were brilliant so can’t complain there but I get the feeling you have to put all the effort in x

I had my re op yesterday just had a call from the nurse to see how I’m getting on x

My nurse has just called me to see how I am which was a nice touch xx

I still haven’t heard from mine lol x

i would praise highgate till my face.turns.blue, i received.a voicemail earlier from nurse but i was sleeping lol. mya was the exact same everytime i tried to contact my pc i couldn’t get through and never herd back. i booked an appointment for Saturday turned up.with my mum who.had cancelled her plans to.arrive and find out the person i was going to see had gone home ill and noone was there.to see me! i also had to.ring up.for my admission times on the Monday too as hadn’t herd! i would recommend to anyone in the London area.thinking of getting ba going straight through.highgate and not mya. Xxx

Ditto to that, hospital was amazing. Would have happily stayed there all week 🙂
