OMG… Wrong implant given?!!! Anyone got Ultra high profiles who can help??

Hi girls. Had my BA last wed, 350cc high profiles. Or do I thought…. Just received my literature & it details ULTRA high profiles? ?? this is not what I wanted or asked for, I’m so worried about the difference between those and just High profiles. Is there much,? I can’t believe I’ve been given UHP’s!!!

I’m at the clinic tomorrow for 7 day check up… I’ll take it up with them then. UHP was never even mentioned. Ont once!! But unless wrong literature has been sent (which I highly doubt) then that’s what I’ve been given!!! ?

One more thing when you was leaving hospital they give you tablets antibiotics and some documents plus book please check all this things as well

I only got my meds & a note for my doctor when I left the hospital. Nothing else that details my implants or anything?
I’m seeing the nurse at the clinic tomorrow so I’ll ask them to pull up my file, I asked for a ‘natural’ look & I checked that it was high profile with PC after I’d been in with surgeon, so if that’s what’s gone in he’s either decided to do that on the day there & then for whatever reason, or there’s been a mistake made.
I hope he meant to do it! & it’s not a mistake …. Worried now ?

There might be a reason that he chose uhp instead of hp. I was given uhp because they come in a slightly more durable casing, uhp are the ONLY ones that are available in the anti ripple casing. I was given them for that exact reason, to prevent rippling and give a little extra projection. Personally I love them and think they look no different to my friends with HP. The different between uhp and hp is minimal. Do they look alright? Do you like them? If not then i’d suggest talking to your PC or nurse and then your surgeon. xx

Also just read the other comments. You should have received a Mentor implant book that has stickers stating exactly what implants were given, It’s like a guarantee, so very important! Your surgeon wouldn’t have made that kind of a mistake. Implants have to be ordered in advance so it wouldn’t have been mixed up or just decided on the day. Try not to worry too much sweetie! I have lots of photos of my UHP implants if you want to have a look and add me? Mine are looking more and more natural as the days go on. xx

@lacelabyrinth thank you – I’ve never seen uhp implants so I’ve no idea of the difference between them and hp, so there’s barely much difference? That makes me feel better. Did he decide on the day to change to UHP or was it predetermined before your op?
I like them so far yes, but I’m just 6days PO so it’s early days. I just had visions of the UHP being huge ‘stick on’ looking!!! Is this not the case? Can I see yours please?? Xxx

Ps it’s the mentor implant book with the stickers on that’s just arrived in the post today that states UHP! First time theyve ever been mentioned is when I see them on that sticker saying that’s what’s in!!!! ?

Nope, got a letter to give to GP but that was it, then just received the mentor booked with the stickers on detailing my implants in the post today! X

If it says that in the Mentor book then I’d expect those are the implants you’ve been given. Please don’t worry yourself too much. There really is very little difference between the two! A couple of weeks before my operation I also queried this with my PC and she said that there was a reason why he chose that profile for me and that there is only the tiniest difference. Mine have turned out really nicely and I trust my surgeons opinion 100%. I understand it must be a bit shocking to see uhp when you weren’t expecting it! We hadn’t discussed the profiles in much detail beforehand so I just trusted his judgement on the matter.

It’s still very early days for my implants and they are still dropping and settling in. Most implants regardless of size, profile or position look stuck on to begin with because they’ve literally just been placed there. They change so much over 6 months or so. Even after 3 weeks mine have changed quite dramatically, I do love them though 🙂 xx

Hey i asked for natural looking implants and im quite thin and my surgeon suggested uhp implants under muscle i havent had them yet but apparantly they will defo look natural as i didnt want the stuck on melon ? look lol x

@lacelabyrinth I had same surgeon as you, so I’m beginning to feel less ‘scared’ now, maybe he has used them for a reason, but 100% uhp was NEVER mentioned to me. Never. Maybe I haven’t paid enough attention? I don’t know. I trust his judgement & I’m assuming he hasn’t made any kind of mistake (but maybe the people who order in the implants have? As don’t think surgeon orders them in)
But thank u for easing my mind.

@dawnc that has also made. E feel better too – the fact a natural look can be achieved with UHP! I didn’t think IT was possible!!

Awwh you had Dr Mounir too! He’s a really talented surgeon and such a nice guy 🙂 I really liked him. If it really worries you i’d definitely get in touch with your PC or nurse as they may shed some light on it. The amount of times I called my PC with doubts pre op, crying down the phone, is quite unbelievable hehe. Like @dawnc said, the natural look can definitely be achieved with uhp too 🙂 xx

Thanks Stacey! Will do Misia…. I’m starting to think it was intentional – for whatever reason! Just I didn’t know about it ? always told high profile, never ULTRA high profile. As long at they turn out ok I’m not really fussed! Xxx
