On the Day….

Hi, can anyone tell me , on the day of surgery do you need to arrive at the hospital not wearing any deodorant etc ?

Ideally, you should shower before arriving so that your skin is clean but don’t use any product shower gel etc and don’t apply deodorant or any perfumes product afterwards. I didn’t even moisturise after I showered before my op!

Ahhhhh Lex I’m just doing all these last minute checks too! I feel so unprepared (even though I have everything ready!)
I feel like I need to pack my hotpial bag like now, it’s like I’m having a baby ????????????

Hi, I wasn’t told anything about moisturiser or deodorant. In fact, I had a shower at home and put moisturiser, deodorant and perfume on. I also had false eyelashes on and foundation which nobody told me to take off. I also hardly took anything to the hospital…just slippers to walk to surgery, makeup of course ha, 2 different size post surgery bras, a toothbrush in case I stayed overnight and a pair of knickers, charger and deodorant! I went to the hospital in a loose hoodie and a pair of leggings. Hope this helps….I really wouldn’t worry about anything because they will tell you if they need you to remove anything! Thanks Ciara, I am an overnight stay so need to take an overnight bag. Wont be needing much though.

@christieleigh how fast has the time come round! I cant believe our dates are almost here. How long have you got off work? Ive got a week and a half, im hoping that will be enough? Ive got a pretty relaxed office job and they all know im getting it done. We will have to stay in touch with each other for progress updates! xxx

We will be fine! I had my mam washing and drying my hair last night to see how we would manage it! Ice got short hair so cant even tie it back or plait it, its gonna be a nightmare xxx

I have asked my Mam as my other half is hopeless and would probs give me whiplash trying to wash it over the sink haha xx

When are you all booked in for? I’m next Thursday so nervous but excited! Doing all these last minute checks too.. just emailed my suregeon’s secretary with yet another set of questions.. oops!

Ah how exciting! Have you decided on size etc? I’m still trying to decide between two sizes, only a slight difference but worrying one may be too big and one may be too small! Haha I don’t actually think I’ll let him go through with the makeup, may give him a trial run this weekend..! Good luck to you too Xxx

I know its so exciting! which sizes are you stuck between? Im also getting an uplift and have decided on 310 UHP overs. I’m an empty slightly saggy 34b and ideally would like to come out as a D cup. I think its so stressful deciding on sizes dont you? In the end I have just trusted my surgeons judgement! xxx

Completely agree, So stressful! And I don’t think anyone else really understands the stress of the decision aside from all the ladies on here! That sounds perfect for a D cup! I’ve got a really small frame, 5’2 size 6/8 so really conscious I don’t want to look too top heavy for my size…ideally I’d like to be a full C. My surgeon suggested between 250 and 300. Had 3D imaging scans done but thought the 300 looked far too big on me as did 275 (more chance of those ending up a D) so deciding between 255 and 225 (requested the image of the 225s after the original scan as initially he’d not recommended below 255). Howeve after all those numbers I THINK I’m going to with 255 as the last thing I want is to spend all this money and not feel much different! I think my surgeon would be more happy with this size as I’m having to have teardrops so less chance of rotation if they are slightly bigger I think xx

oh the drama we have to put ourselves through! it will all be worth it in the end. Yeah you have to go with what suits your frame, you sound petite, you will look fab! its crazy how sizes can differ so much from person to person. I was initially going to go with 265 but decided on a little bigger,. im 5’6 and a size 10. xxx
