Once the strapping is off….

Hi guys, I’m just wondering if everyone is wearing steri strips over their incisions once their strapping came off or are there some people not wearing it / told they don’t have to?

I am 1 week post op and my strapping off yesterday and the nurse told me I don’t need to wear steri strips over them and that from next week I can start showering but have to make sure I pat the incisions dry after showers – is this the case for anyone else too? I’m just worried and don’t want to end up with an infection or something.

Also…is it okay / normal for the berets to feel numb and a little soar even when the strapping has come off ?

I didn’t have strapping but had steri strips until 2 weeks post op xx

My nurse told me the same, don’t need to cover them up when I have a shower & to not have a bubble bath & lie in it xxxxx

Yeah it’s very normal for boobs to feel like that, I am 6 weeks and the numbness only just starting to fade away. I didn’t have no steri strips and I came home straight after seeing nurse and had a shower, was heaven x

Great thanks girls …very reassuring. Maybe steri strips is only for those that didn’t have the strapping I guess.
Ah Liz 6 weeks gosh must feel so good to have some feeling in them finally lol and yes the shower feeling like heaven I bet il be able to relate in a weeks time 🙂
