I booked my surgery on 22nd July and I thought the three months before my op would drag but thankfully they haven’t! I can’t believe my op is a week tomorrow!! I’ve got my final consultation with my surgeon on Thursday and then the surgery on the Monday. I’m so excited and feel completely ready for it in every way.
I’ve set up an Instagram page to document my journey so feel free to follow to see my recovery etc. It’s a private account so direct message me if you’re following from your personal account.
SO EXCITED!! I feel like a kid a Christmas 😀 😀

Hi Imogen. Thanks for the add! I’d like to follow your recovery on instagram – I’ll send along a request now. I’m in surgery a few days before you, so we’ll probably be tracking somewhat closely with it all 🙂
Thanks @sammy1976! I’m glad everything went well with your op. I’m not looking forward to the recovery!
In preparation I decided to sleep with my v pillow and about 7 others (!) last night as I’ve heard a lot of girls have trouble sleeping and it wasn’t too bad, which has made me feel better. Lack of sleep is the last thing I neee post op.
Hey @pixelle
That exciting – let me know how it goes for you! Where are you having your op done?
Xx
I’ve added your IG as I’m having my op on 7th in Preston. I’ve not had my admission time yet though so a bit worried as I’m a complete worrier !! Xx
Mine is at the Welbeck Hospital. Tomorrow! It feels so surreal. I’m excited, but in a way I’ll miss my tiny little breasts 🙂
Great idea to start practising sleeping on the V pillow! Have you tried to get up from a lying down position without using your arms? I’m going to crack myself up for a few days.
Are you getting unders or overs?
xx
Hi hun just added you myajent xx
@icrlm sounds like we’re similar stats. I’ve got no upper pole and only tiny breasts. So unders it is, which is good since I want a natural look. Sitting in the hospital bed now, all marked up and waiting for the anaesthetist! I can’t believe it’s happening. Surreal.
I’m so glad I’m with Linda Fiumara. Had you met with other surgeons before choosing her? She’s so lovely, and I’ve only met her three times but I completely trust her. She’s going slightly smaller than I’d remembered, which is…fine. Either 210 or 240, depending on how much breast tissue she finds in surgery. I’ll have boob envy, but smaller makes more sense for me.
Only three more days for you 🙂 xx
@pixelle how exciting! How did it all go!? How do you feel now?
She was the only surgeon I met before booking but in all honestly I didn’t feel like anyone else was going to stack up – especially as she is always described as thorough and meticulous. I met with her again last night and felt so good about everything afterwards.
I’ve got a busy few days ahead so hoping that it’ll be op day in no time!
I told Linda my admission was 7am and she said I’m likely to be second on the list. Eeek!
Xx
I’ve followed you on Instagram 🙂 I really hope your op and yphr recovery goes really well! Good luck xx
Hey @lauren9314 I’ve accepted you 🙂 Thanks!
@icrlm all done and back at home. Sorry I didn’t update sooner but I’ve been in and out of sleep for ages! I’m so thankful for Linda Fiumara, and even more so at the hospital yesterday. She was thorough and talked through all of the prep she was doing with me (markings etc), and made me feel completely at ease.
The op went well I guess, and now the recovery starts. She strapped me up nice and tight, which is painful but important. Lots of meds. She did say it was fine to sleep on your back without being propped up, but I think I’m more comfortable propped up personally. The pressure on your chest is pretty intense, not sure it would be too easy lying flat.
You look really prepared for everything post surgery, which is great. I tried to be too, lists and lists of what to buy, what to do and not do… I’m sure yours will go really smoothly. Have you got plenty of food in the fridge for when you get home? Xx
Hey @pixelle
No need to apologise, I’m sure you’ve had more important things to think about.
That’s good to hear. It sounds like she was lovely and exactly what you needed.
That’s interesting about not needing to be propped up. I’ll probably stick with sleeping upright post op but perhaps not at 45 degrees, otherwise I will probably find it too easy to roll onto my side if I was flat on my back.
Lol, I do try 🙂 I don’t know how other girls do it without being prepared! That would be my worst nightmare.
I’ve got all foods stocked up and a meal plan, consisting high protein meals mainly from milk, eggs and chicken. I’ve also got some post op snacks just in case I feel the need to eat something. They’re dry carbs so hopefully won’t upset my stomach.
Xx
