Hi everyone! Had my surgery today and thought I would share my story! Had an admission time for 12 at the Preston first trust. All the staff were so lovely and put me at ease and Dr Mounir was very friendly as always! Went down to theatre at 2:15 and the canula I barely felt at all! Could feel my body go all cold and one minute I was laughing with the nurse and next minute it was all over and done! Woke up with sort of a dull achey pain, would say about 5 out of 10! It’s more of a pressure than a pain but I still didn’t turn them down when they offered me ibuprofen and codeine! Vision was quite blurry for a few hours but once they got me up out of bed and dressed I felt pretty much normal other than the pressure in my chest and feeling tired. Got discharged at about 6:30 and I’m now sat in my bed in the ibis hotel, going to have some food and probably go to sleep! I have to say though over all the whole experience has been completely fine and I don’t think the nerves ever really sunk in I was just running on pure adrenaline and excitement! Anyone who’s nervous you don’t need to be because they take such good care of you and it feels like it’s over in seconds! I had asymmetric breasts pre op one a 32b and the other a 32a, Dr mounir did 375 in the small breast and 325 in the large breast and so far I’m pleased with how the symmetry looks but I guess it’s a bit too early to say. Now it’s just time to heal! Put some photos on my profile, feel free to add me if you’d like to see! Xxxx
