I had my op done yesterday at about 3pm. I have to admit I was in quite a bit of pain after and felt really sick and dizzy.
I stayed overnight thank god as I’m not sure how I would have faced leaving yesterday. So have slept on and off but the strapping is very tight and I can’t move much so found it hard to get comfortable.
The staff at the Fitzroy have been amazing though, so kind and caring.
Due to leave at 10am this morning and my friend is coming to get me…not sure how I’m going to cope with that! My BP is so low they’ve put me on another drip and I’ve got to drink loads of water!
I prepared myself for this but I guess reading the stories on here or girls saying they had no pain etc made me hope I would be similar but we are all different!
Hoping it will all get easier over the next few days…and can’t wait until I have the strapping off to see my new boobies and know it’s all been worth it! No pain no gain as they say!
Hope this doesn’t put anyone off, it’s all bearable and the staff have given me pain killers and anti-sickness drugs to really help me.
I thought seeing as I’m a mum and went through child birth this would be a breeze but not quite as tough as I thought haha…
Perhaps it’s because I’m older and you young girls cope better! Anyway will keep you updated and fingers crossed it gets easier each day.
Sorry to hear your feeling so rough! Hope you feel better soon and happy healing X
@becster feel your pain hun I was exactly the same. I expected to be crying with happiness when I woke up (after reading stories on here) but instead I was crying in agony! My op was Tuesday and I’m POD4 and honestly am feeling better each day, so don’t worry it does get easier and its all worth it in the end. One thing I will say is to embrace the bloated belly and don’t try to wean yourself off the painkillers, I tried that POD2 and now take the pills every 4 hours religiously haha x
Hey, I had my op on Wednesday, and totally feel your pain, I to woke up in agony, I had unders so knew to expect more pain but wasn’t quite prepared for how it actually felt, I’ve been taking the pain relief although could of done with stronger, and have felt so stiff and itchy, but today I’ve managed to have a short walk and get some fresh air, and feel a little getter in myself, still can’t really do much although it is getting easier, but I have a one year old and can’t do anything with him at the moment not even cuddle :(, wishing you a speedy recovery xx
Thanks ladies makes me feel better to know it’s not just me being a wimp!
Abi – thank god you mentioned a bloated belly I saw mine this morning when I got dressed and thought woooooaaa where has that come from! The nurses said its normal!
Leila, I have a 3 year old who has gone to stay with his dad (my ex) for a week, month going to miss him like crazy but thought it best to rest for a week as I don’t have much help and he is a cuddly boy who wants to be picked up all the time, going to find that hard when he gets back as not sure when I’ll be able to lift him!
Anyway happy healing to you all. I’m on my way home now and feel 10 times better already.
x
A week not a month haha…stupid phone! Couldn’t send him away for a month ever!! Thought I’d clarify that one haha
@becster · Hey I guessed it was a mistake the month ?, my sons dad is helping and doing everything for him but it’s just not the same I really can’t wait to get a bit of normal back haha, did you have unders ? And what cc did you have? I had the choice between 375 or 400 hp I went for the 400 and thought maybe that’s helped towards the pain a tad too, but each day is a step closer to pain free days haha, glad you are feeling better hun, it will definitely be worth it all in the end ? Xx
Hi Leila,
I had 350cc partials. I think the strapping is very tight so hard to tell what they look like and have to wait till Friday to get that off!
I’m the same can’t wait to feel normal and just enjoy my new assets haha…however I’m going to make the most of a weeks rest as us mums don’t get much of that! x
Great thanks Abi…did you have strapping on? My strapping feels soo tight and then when I put my Macom bra on even tighter…the nurse at the hospital said it wasn’t necessary to have the bra on as I have strapping but I’ve read on other posts that other girls wear the bra with strapping. I went up a back size but it’s just all feels very tight!
Glad you’re feeling better x
@becster · Hey, my strapping feels very tight too, I was expecting a band also but haven’t got one, I’m desperate to get back to normal am feeling a little better today haven’t taken any pain relief so that’s a good sign, but yes I want the strapping off also it’s so itchy and just want to know everything is all good, how are you feeling today xx
Hi Leila,
I’m feeling better today thanks. Yes it’s the strapping that hurts now…but other than feeling a bit restricted in movement I’m not in too much pain.
It’s so hard not actually seeing them till the strapping comes off!! Am hoping they look good under there!
When do you get your strapping off? x
@becster · , hey, aww I’m glad you are feeling better today, my strapping doesn’t go all the way over mine it’s at the top, bottom and down the middle so can sort of see some of my boobs but where they are strapped it’s still really hard to tell how they will look, mine comes off on Wednesday and I can’t wait haha xx
