Op Done! – Implants and Mastopexy

So had my op yesterday and still can’t believe I did it but so pleased I did as have been wanting this done since I was 18 but being so scared never got it done until now but also pleased I waiting as rearched for so long and knew it was what I 100% wanted to do after still being so unhappy with my natural boobs.

Admission was 10am but was taken down at 2 and woken up at 6.30pm. Very long surgery and first time have aneasthetic so was very sick all yesterday and last night! Managed to eat something about 6am this morning which was great because then could take pain killers as the pain was so bad I couldn’t breathe. I was so scared for the actual prodedure as being put under really worries me and that was actually so fine and the pain after was something I didn’t think I’d care about because was so pleased I got them done but already been crying haha.

Literally everything was decided for me in surgery but ended up having 325cc, Moderate Plus, Unders with full mastopexy (uplift, nipple reduction and made higher) I wanted very natural so got a size D sport bra on but surgeon thinks I may end up being a Large C/Small D. Always had large nipples so was pleased that my surgeon said she wouldn’t do the implants without reducing them as they would stretch even more and she and I would both be unhappy! and then had tubular breasts which the implants on their own wouldn’t of fixed so had the uplift for that and so pleased they are actually round! I wore a size B before but stuffed so much in it so was probably an A.

Had Linda Fiumara who I wanted before I came to Mya and was so pleased she was recommended to me by my PC. She is so caring and lovely and puts you at ease so much but also very much of a perfectionist – hence why the surgery is so long! But she really is so good.

Thought I would share this as when I was researching and had booked my op, stories like this really helped me. Happy to answer any questions as well 🙂

Congrats Jessica, so lovely to hear how its gone for someone who has had implants and mastopexy! I have dr fiumara for the exact same procedure on June 5th 🙂 How long will you have to wear the band for hun? I was told at my pre op she doesnt use the band for uplift and implant under the muscle but guess my nurse was wrong! happy healing hun how are you feeling today? xx

Thank you so much 🙂 ah good luck with yours! She said to wear the breast band around 3 weeks but I’ll see what the nurse says at my 1 and 2 week appointments! Today is a struggle! I didn’t realise how helpless you would be after and how much pain I’d be in! She said i would be in a lot of pain though for around 5 days and I’m so pleased with how they look it’s all worth it! How you feeling about your op day? xx

Oh bless hun hopefully the pain dies down a bit for you soon! fab how you’re so happy already though 🙂 Im excited and v nervous at the same time, not so much about the pain (even though im a baby so i know its going to be bad haha) but the getting back into work and everything afterwards! How long did you have to wait for Dr fiumara to come in and speak to you after your op? xx

Yeah I didn’t really think about the pain afterwards as was more nervous for the operation haha but she just said because they’re unders they’ll obviously be more painful which I knew anyway. I was probably back in my room for half an hour and then she came in and put the bra on me with the nurse and explained what she did etc and how I’ll feel over the next few days and not to use my arms etc. She also briefly came into the recovery room straight after my op to ask if I was okay. Unders are about 5 days worth of pain she said but will keep you updated on how I feel over the next few days as might be a good indication for you too. How long have you got off of work? xx

They look amazing! I’ve got 300cc unders on the 8th June with a mini lift. Don’t think I’m ready for the pain!! Only got the husband home for 4 days!

Thanks so much Fran and Amy 🙂 I really wasn’t ready for the pain! But no matter how painful I’m stil so pleased I’ve done it and had unders. I started today doing a couple more things by myself with no help, compared to yesterday, and that’s only on day 2 so hopefully by day 5 you’ll be able to manage. Good luck with everything!
