So thankfully my GP faxed the letter to mya today and mya have confirmed all is fine so surgery is on for Tuesday the 25th!
With it all up in the air I haven’t really prepared as I didn’t want to spend too much and the op get cancelled. Now I’m panicking as I’m no where near prepared
If any ladies can tell me what I need of best places to get things that would be fab,
    I need to get:
    V pillow
    Ice packs
Sports bras!!!!! I am a 32a, 174cm and 51kg having 300 mod plus unders. I asked for a full c/d so what size do I need and where can I get them!
I have a zip up hoodie for after
I’m staying overnight so anything else I will need at hospital? Or anything u have found invaluable with your recovery?
    Thanks xx

Hi Hun I had mine done yesterday and literally all I took was a wash bag to freshen up and bra for after I opted not to stay the night but that’s pretty much all you need I can honestly say I’m in no pain at all I’m tender but that’s to be expected good luck hope all goes well x

Have a look at asdas post surgery bras online. They are only £8. I’ve found them so comfy and supportive. I’m a size 8/10, back size 32 and brought size small which fits perfectly. Take button up pyjamas to wear the first night after your op, so much easier to get on! X

Ohh and get some bottles of water and straws for when you are back home. It’s so much easier to drink from them with a straw (especially at night) than a glass xx

Hey, I stayed over night and didn’t need much at all. I slept in the gown and they provided slippers etc. I just took magazines and clothes to go home in (button up dress) I also took a Macom bra in size small and xs for the nurse to choose which fitted best. Good luck x

I defo second the straws, they were a life saver with limited arm movements. Also for the day after my sister went out to get me lucozade as the nurse said it helps you gain energy after an op. So maybe take some of that? Also some stepsils or lozengers as some get a sore throat from the breathing pipe thing they use in surgery. Oh and lip balm as your lips will get super dry! Ha. Think that’s all…

Hi Hun, writing this from my comfy hospital bed!
I took pjs, toiletries, book, my sports bra, various tops to try for the next day.
They provided slippers and dressing gown. Didn’t use the pjs found it easier to stay in the gown. Nurses have been fab and think we get extra pain Relief as staying over night (trust me it’s needed!) I have had the best most easiest day…..staff are unreal and honestly don’t worry. Ask any questions you like 🙂
Also got told I have to have a Macom as I’ve had teardrop implants (weird saying I’ve now had them ?)
    Xxxx

Thanks girls! So top tips in there as well!!
How you feeling today @nicolenewman93 ?
I will order a macom but not sure if it will come in time. What size would you girls recommend, I’m normally a size 32 so a small but with swelling would u say go up a back size or will I get more use out of my same back size?
Also button up pjs? Where can I get them? I get quite hot, particularly just sitting in bed so does anyone know of some nice thin light ones?
    Thanks again!
Hope you are all recovering well x

@sarah my chest felt tight and horrible when I woke up but taken some painkillers and got up and over about and feel better now. I have a lot more movement in my arms that I thought. I got some button up short sleeved and shorts cotton pjs in sainsburys. Only £14 and super comfy and lightweight! Didn’t end up wearing them in hospital though. Just had my gown on. My Macom came in a few days and I used MYBREAST online and got 15% off. Haven’t tried mine on yet. But I got told to order for your back size for the support xxxx

I’ve got a set of short sleeve button up pjs from asda. I start to panic if I get too hot so I bought the set with shorts but you can get them with long bottoms as well. Got an oversized pyjama shirt as well from asda then just some nice light ones from primark. With regards to the macom, I got it in my usual back size. I know everyone says different things but I just think the macom stretches to fit your cup size and when the swelling goes down a bit you’ll end up with a band that’s too big and won’t be any good for support if you go for a bigger one xx

If your worried about the macom coming in time the ultimate run shock absorber bras are very good from Debenhams, but they also do shock absorber zip front ones too x

You can always just return anything that doesn’t fit, that’s why I’m holding off until next week to buy them so I have plenty of time after my op to return anything that’s too big or small x
