Literally feel like crying I am petrified for my op on Sunday. Does anyone have any tips to reassure me?!! X
Take someone with u if u can.
Relax!
Take some suck sweets and a couple of bottles of lucozade and a v pillow this was a life changer for me :).
R u MYA? Which clinic are u having it done? If it’s the Fitzroy they are amazing.
Wish u all the best 🙂 u will b fine I was sooo nervous before mine but really the best thing I could of had was someone there my partner came with me and we actually had a right laugh in the ‘boob factory’….. pick a good friend haha x
My op is just over a week away! Don’t get yourself wound up, this is their job and will have trained for years to be where they are today. They will have performed hundreds if not thousands of operations and they know what they are doing.
The whole thing will be over before you know it. Take plenty of stuff with you to keep yourself occupied whilst waiting for the op. Try not to think about the here and now but focus on a couple of months down the line when you’ve fully recovered and how great you’ll feel.
Good luck! Xx
Relax and Enjoy it hun…!! Everything will be fine xxx
Thanks girls. I’m trying to just stay calm but Im just scared of being put to sleep lol. I’m actually not with mya but I’ve found this forum so helpful. I’m with transform and I’m having 295cc hp overs. I just want it to be over. Scared ill chicken out last minute!!!! Thanks for your replies!! @murph @icrlm @rachelash how long do you guys have off of work xxx
I took a week off but I wish I took more! I had unders, ur recovery should be abit quicker with overs! Being out to sleep is the best bit 🙂 it’s a nice feeling, best sleep u will ever have…. u won’t feel the cannula as they use lidnocaine to numb u up first… take the lucozade and boiled sweets for after as u will need them to suck and drink for abit of energy and to help with the sore throat if u had one. It’s actually a nice day out in the grand scheme of things u will be treated really well… relax and enjoy it xxxxx
Hia
Im pod9 now. I actually thought of chickening out. When i walked to the operating theatre. As i was petrified of being put to sleep. But honestly i now think what on earth was i worrying over. Its totally fine. I actually like the feeling of being put to sleep. Its over so quick. Just keep telling yourself, its gona be fine man. They do these ops all the time x
My op is a week on Monday and I’m taking a week off work but am working from home for the second week.
I’ve been put to sleep before and it’s absolutely nothing to worry about! They’ll keep you distracted and they typically say count to ten whilst trying to stay awake and by you count to two your out for the count.
If this is something you really want then don’t back out. You don’t want to regret not going ahead with it.
Stay strong and keep calm.
Xx
I was so relaxed and it helped a lot I just didn’t really think about it and the day went quick and the amount of medication I had I don’t really remember it anyway haha it was fine you will be ok! Watch the video of my op day I posted last week might make you more relaxed to see me being a twat haha good luck xx
