Hi girls
Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with PC’s, arranging appts/being messed round by MYA?
i had nothing but trouble before my op. I had no PC as mine went on the sick in the summer after i paid my £500 deposit and noone else was appointed to me until now (january) I therefore had to arranage my pre-op appt myself which i was then given 2 different times for, and when i phoned up to confirm the actual time it was, i had an email then saying ” we’re sorry you have cancelled your appt…” i had to ring back again to be told it was an I.T admin error but they could never explain more then that. Also when i seen my surgeon in on Nov 5th for my consultation, i said “see you on the 11th Jan then” and he said that it was the 8th. Therefore my hubby booked time off work around this date to look after me. I was then told in my pre-op appt in middle of Dec that it WAS the 11th and that they don’t understand why i thought the 8th and i had no proof on paper of what the surgeon said!!! i was crying my eyes out worrying about who was gonna look after me and my 2 kids (1 and a 3 yr old) as my hubby was now booked onto a training course for the week after that he couldnt get out of (from the 14th Jan). I phoned up to make a complaint about everything but they have no official complaints procedure which is wrong, every company should have one! All i’ve ever had off different people is sorry but i was soooo close to cancelling it altogether – I was messed around so much and i’m so disappointed!
On the plus side, my op went fab, hospital was lovely and staff there great in Droitwich, Worcester. i love my new boobs and my surgeon Dr Schivone was great!
The clerical side of MYA needs to be more professional, they’ve had alot of staff off work and are struggling but after paying them £4200 i expected better. On my first ever appt to pay deposit i was never sent an appt letter saying which clinic i had to go to so i turned up at the wrong one which cost me money to then travel to other one in Cardiff! From day one there was problems! nothing went smooth so i hope the rest of my MYA journey is easier. Seeing my nurse this week as im 10 days po so wish me luck!
Hope that from now on my post op appts go well and are arranged without me having to do all the chasing myself. i only knew what had to be done without a PC from reading online and looking through forums – thanks to you girls for all advice xxxx
Arhh hun what a load of messing you have had to put up with 🙁 Thank god you are happy with your lovely new boobs as can you imagine if you you werent and you needed things sorting !!. sadly a lot of the girls on here ( myself included) would agree MYA lets itself down massivley on before and after care it’s like once they have your money they don’t care. Surely you would think they would want to be known for excellent customer care as well as amazing surgeons etc. I will be really surprised if this post stay on hun as they tend to remove any negative feedback. Good luck hunni with the post op hope all goes well xx
Hi hun:) thanks for sharing ur story. I actually just read again the patient’s pack i was given during my first consultation with pv. Paragraoh 10 explains how to post complaints.
