Well as yesterday I couldn’t decide what size I was going between 450 & 500cc Mr Traynor decided the 450 would be better for me (although he still thought this was too big) but I can honestly say I LOVE them already even though they are very swollen and tight today!
What an experience!!!! I can honestly say from yesterday morning right up until my procedure was the worse time of my life!!! I have NEVER felt so nervous in all my life!!! The journey from Manchester to Preston was awful I was almost sick with nerves!! I checked in at 3pm then got took to my room about 3.20 I was feeling freezing because of my nerves just couldn’t warm up!!! Anyway every1 came in done what they had to (nurses etc) then mr Traynor came in had a chat discussed and chose size then off he went, the anesthesist came in had his discussion then a lovely lady called Anne took me to theatre they put the needle in my hand (which was the worse part for me as I have a needle phobia but Anne made me feel so relaxed) next min I’m chatting to her about my upcoming holiday then I was gone…. Dreaming about holiday shopping (with Anne haaaa) next thing I was being woke up with a few people stood round me and my first words were ‘where’s Anne’ haaa…. Anyway I went bk to my room felt a tiny bit sick and freezing but that soon went, I haven’t had any codeine and so far my recovery has be fine abit uncomfy but nothing unbearable, but I must admit I’ve had no sleep this sleeping sitting up is not for me!!!! My back can’t handle it atall really aching and uncomfortable but everything else is fine!! Don’t know why I got so worked up!!! The journey home was far nicer than the journey there!!!!! I know I am only day 1 post op but So far so good ? MYA staff have been amazing (especially at Preston first trust) ?
