hi, just thought i’d share my experience with dr andrea as i know a lot of girls have been moved across to him due to dr gonschior no longer doing surgery for mya.
my admission time was 8am so i stayed over at the ibis which is around the corner from the first trust hospital the night before with my mum. i arrived in the morning and was told i were the first on the list so this made me feel so much better as i knew i wouldn’t be waiting aaaages like the problem i had with my BA last year (nightmare lol). dr andrea came to see me 10 minutes before i was taken down to theatre and took some photos and went through everything with me again, he made me feel at ease so much and was so lovely especially when i was laid in theatre shaking like a bag of nerves he started stroking my head to make me feel better hahaha! then all i remember is feeling super super suuuuuper drunk and i was gone. next thing i knew i was waking up in my room and had to be given oxygen as my oxygen levels kept dropping and i just literally slept for the whole of tuesday. i struggled to eat all day when i was awake as i felt so sick but they kept giving me anti sickness which was a godsend :p i only managed to stay awake for about 10 minutes at most each time i woke up. my throat and mouth felt like i had been licking sand and eating it… it were terrible! then i tried to eat dry toast… DON’T DO IT TO YOURSELF, it’s absolutely awful when you have a dry mouth, i couldn’t even swallow it! i feel sorry for the nurses having to look after me, i were the biggest pain in the arse about being sick… so big thanks to them for actually putting up with my moaning constantly about feeling sick hahaha!! in the morning i started my antibiotics with my first bit of food i’d eaten and i came out in a rash so i stopped those just incase it was the antibiotics or the anaesthetic coming out my system. the nurses told me they’re just taken for precaution anyway but i’ve still not been able to take them now as i’ve got a really bad stomach and can’t eat due to feeling sick. the pain on a scale of 1-10 is probably a 1 for me and thats only when i laugh or smile.. it is more uncomfortable like a bad cold rather than pain 🙂 i’m having my splint off on tuesday 21st which is exactly a week after my surgery. anyone who knew me when i had my BA will know i had an absolute nightmare with that and was in absolute agony for weeks, but this is a walk in the park compared to it!
i have uploaded 11 photos to my albums if anyone wants to have a look so far! 🙂
i’m currently 3 days post op and my nose is itching and the bruising and swelling is still quite bad, it’s only mega bad on one side though which is strange 🙂
also i know i’ve seen a few people say they’ve not seen much of andreas work, he has loads of his work on his own website – http://www.andreagiannitrapani.co.uk/rinoplastica/ 🙂
