Open rhinoplasty done yesterday

Hey guys I had an open rhinoplasty done yesterday with dr g just wondering if anyone else used the nose spray the pharmacist give straight away? Also how did people who’ve had it done manage to clean around it? I’m so nervous about it

I had open rhino with Dr G last Monday. The nurse said I could use the spray from the day after the op but I wasn’t brave enough to use it until about day 4/5 and even then I’ve only used it a handful of times from outside my nostrils. I didn’t find that it had any effect though to be honest. I just gently cleaned around the outside with a wet cotton bud but again, i waited a few days first.

Hiya, I used it from day 2 and didn’t think it helped at all! I didnt try to clean my nose until about day 12 after the op. The spray has also given me a horrible rash under my nose so I personally wouldnt bother using it xx

Dr G doesn’t really like people using the spray, heard it works by restricting blood vessels in your nose and there fore making healing slower. Used it a couple of times but made no difference. x
