    Hey ladies,

Just thought I’d come on here to share my little story as I have my BA yesterday!
I was originally booked in for March however due to COVID it got post-poned, I got a call about 2 weeks ago saying they have the 30th June in their diary for me and obviously I was over the moon but it was also so scary cause I wasn’t mentally prepared for a new date so soon.
Fast forward to yesterday, My best friend dropped me at first trust in Preston ( as your not allowed to take anyone in with you due to COVID restrictions).
A nurse took me to my own room and I got changed into my gown, slippers and all of that and I just sat and watched TV and was on my phone talking to my friends for most the time.
My surgeon (mr netri) then came to see me and draw on me and take a few pre op pictures, aswell as my nurse doing routine checks (temperature, blood pressure and oxygen levels). Also the person who was in charge of putting me to sleep (forgot what they are called) was the last to come and see me and she was lovely and she literally got changed then walked me into the theatre room.
I am SO SCARED of needles ect but when they put the cannula in it took a second and I barley even felt it and out of the whole process that was what made me the most scared.
I then got wheeled into the room next door and I remember if them putting a mask over my face telling me to breath and 2 seconds later I was gone.
When I woke up from my op I felt shockingly fine no sickness or anything I was just so hungry as I hadn’t eaten since the night before and I always eat!!
When they took me back to my room a nurse came to do my blood pressure every half an hour and she made sure I was comfy and had everything, she also brought me food and drinks which made me feel a lot better eating.
They keep you for 3 hours after your op and for the first 2 they check your bloody pressure every half an hour and then on your last hour they do all your final checks before you get discharged however you do need to be able to pass urine and eat abit.
I had drains put in so i had to have them removed before I went however it didn’t hurt one bit just felt a weird air sensation it’s really hard to explain but as I was so tired and drugged up I really didn’t care about it all too much.

Fast forward to this morning I woke up in a lot of pain but it’s always worse in the morning no matter what’s wrong with you, and they gave me plenty of painkillers to make sure I’m comfortable.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask because I feel like I probably forgot a lot however that is the main things I can think off! Xx

It was dead nice and clean. You get your own room with a bathroom and there’s a telly in there. And you literally have a buzzer next to your bed that you can press if you need anything x

Also how are you finding the pain, once I have the codiene or However you spell it I’m fine, but when it wears off I’m in so much pain! I still haven’t slept all night, must of slept in the car for an hour but that’s it 🙁

Omg no way!!! I hope it all went well for you!! And I had 450cc under the muscle with drains. And I’m exactly the same I’ve been giving loads of codeine and anti biotics and I’m trying to keep on top of them but whenever they wears of im in Agony feel like my boobs are burning and popping out my chest. I had a few hours sleep last night but was awake from 6am and literally dosed off for half an hour and just woke up. I just hope the pain calms down by the end of the week and I can actually go to the toilet by myself and stuff because right now it’s hard to think of anything else but the pain!! I hope your recovery goes well though and the best thing I can say is literally try and watch tv till your eyes don’t wanna be open no more and you might drift off xx

Had my breast enlargement 1st of July in Preston,. Didn’t have any drains and came home with paracetamol. No pain really just slightly uncomfortable. Staff at hospital was amazing and welcoming

Hi lovelies! I had my op on the 1st. I was so scared. My admission time was 8:15 and had my op around. My op was originally in April but was cancelled. They rang me on Friday to ask if I was free on the Wednesday. I felt like I had no time to mentally prepare. I have spoken to other girls who have ops in the past and they said they made a WhatsApp group for the girls who had ops in the same month just wondering if anyone would be interested? X

Hi, I’ve seen alot of comments saying people were given antibiotics to take home. Does anyone know how it’s decided whether you need them or not. I was only given Paracetamol and ibuprofen (I did question the ibuprofen, as when I had consultation with nurse she said not to take it afterwards) xx

Hi I had my BA done on Sunday and I was just wondering if anyone else didn’t have drains and is this normal ? I’ve got paracetamol codeine and cefalexin to take at home so that could be an alternative instead of drains ? Please help xx

I’m assuming every case is different and just decided on individual as so many people are given and told different things. It wasn’t even discussed with me about pain medication or anything xx hope you have a speedy recovery

Hey girls, I’m new to here, I was just wondering my operation is this Thursday the 13th. Due to COVID I can’t have anyone come into the hospital with me which is pretty scary. I’m 19 and was expecting my mum to come in but now she can’t. What was it like? Also do they have a safe place to keep valuables such as mobile phones etc? I’m soooo nervous

    I have a question
what did you take to the hospital with you?
did you have to have things in a plastic bag or you can take normal bag ?
