Hi ladies thought I would share my experience as I love reading others on the forum….my admission time was 7:30am me and my partner got to the Fitzroy clinic at about 7:10am…we was told to wait in reception about 15 min later a nurse came up to collect us and took us to my room. I was in a shared room but the other girl wasn’t there yet. Was nice and clean, I was told to get in my gown, stockings, paper knickers and to do a pregnancy test which was negative. Shortly after a nurse came in and told me I was first on the list to go down I was asked a load of questions and had my obs done…surgeon came in saw me made his markings and more signing stuff. Then the anaesthetist Came in and spoke with me, before I know it the nurse told me it’s time to go down for surgery I she took me down to this room and I crying my eyes out and said how scared I was the nurses got me to lay down and spoke with me they were so lovely! One nurse held me hand they put the canula in and she told me it was all gonna be alright and then said take a few deep breaths we’re gonna put you to sleep and I woke up in recovery I actually felt absolutely fine when I woke up a little bit of discomfort and tightness, the nurse gave me some pain relief through my canula and I was on some fluids through a drip too. I felt fine tho was surprised how well I felt! I there for 20min and then I walked down the stairs to the ward and there was a electrical fault and the lifts weren’t working but I was okay to do this I had 3 nurses all holding me so I felt safe. They put me in a wheel chair at the bottom of the stairs and took me to my room, they called my partner and he came as soon as they brought me toast and tea and I felt so much better after eating the nurse assisted me to the toilet to make sure I was okay and I was. They had to keep me under observation for 4 hours after they got me back to my room. Overall my experience was great I worked myself up so much before had and at one point was convincing myself not to get it done! I’m so glad I did tho! Best thing i done!….the pain is so bearable I’m on 1 day post opp and now starting to feel the pain more and tightness around the chest. And sore armpits but I did have unders…My partner has to help me up from bed as I find it hard to sit up but that’s it! You get given pain relief and antibiotics when you leave that you need to just keep on top of it.
I’m looking forward to seeing my end result they look very high up atm and my nipples look swollen.
But honestly girls you have nothing to be scared of it will be over before you know it and you would be wondering why you got yourself so worked up in the first place xxx
Thanks for sharing! I’m getting so nervous my op is in 30 days! I’m worried about pain and feeling sick and drains… pretty much everything! But reading people’s experiences like yours really reasures me! How are you feeling today? What are your stats? Xx
I’m 5,6 11 stone size 12 bottom half and size 8-10 top (prob different now lol)…honestly Hun please don’t be so worried wish I didn’t so much. First day you feel okay because you still got all the pain relief what they gave you in your system, I’d say last night I felt the most pain but it’s a bearable pain. You take the meds they have you and you just get on with it…Today I’m feeling more myself and can move my arms a little more…I had unders 320cc and 295cc because of asymmetry I didn’t have drains my surgeon doesn’t use them. I thought I would be so bad but this is so much more bareable than I thought xx
Thank you! My surgeon was Dr Andre Gianniptani I really couldn’t recommend him enough he really knows his stuff and is so friendly. I was not sure about getting UHP implante but he reassured me that would be the best for my body as I have a narrow chest. I also wanted bigger implants but he explained that 320cc would be the highest he would go for my breasts as they were slightly tubular aswell he said I gotta would get a much better result I was so glad I listened because I’m so happy with them and the profile was just right aswell as my boobs don’t feel like there going into my armpits lol…I’m just over a week post opp and they are changing every day but I’m pleased. I’ll attach a recent picture as they have changed already xx
