Op's been delayed ☹️

So today I received a phone call from my PC, Fay, to say that Dr. Linda Fiumara is no longer operating on 3rd November which is when I’d booked in for 🙁
It’s going to be booked in 3-7 days later which isn’t ideal but not a much of a wait. Thankfully my work are flexible with my time off so that’s one less thing to worry about.
I’m so glad I didn’t book my hotel as if I had I would have lost out on £200 which I wouldn’t have been happy about.
It hadn’t even occurred to me that my op could have been delayed due to the surgeon taking annual leave but obviously it can happen. Definatley something to bear in mind when booking time off and hotels!

Wow, how disappointing. I hadn’t realised that would be a possibility either. I’m glad it’s worked out ok with your work though x

@alicem I know 🙁 I would have thought that the surgeons annual leave would have been booked off before they start accepting people’s money for surgery on said dates!!!
I’m just so pleased that I’ve not lost out on £200 for a hotel and that adjusting my annual leave wasn’t a problem. Xx
