Over night stay or Day Case???

Hi Girls,
I was just wondering if it is best to do a day case or an over night stay when having a BA???
Mine is a re-aug but was over the muscle last time and i am thinking that the surgeon may suggest under the muscle this time.

Has anyone actually asked their surgeon what he would sugggest at consultation stage?

I’ve had under muscle day case , it was ok . Glad to get home to my own bed x

Hi Fiona, Thanks for your reply. I have been trying to decide what to do. I wasn’t sure if you were able to do a day case with it being under the muscle as it’s more painful but now I know its possible I may well book in for a day case. How is your recovery going? x

Hey hun, I had partials and was daycase, I think most of the girls are daycase for just BA plus if you’re not feeling well they’ll keep you in the hospital anyway xxx

Hi Kristina, Thank you for your message. That actually makes sense to me now, i didn’t know if you weren’t feeling well they would keep you in anyway. How soon after the BA did they release you? I guess I might as well save a little money and do a day case 🙂 xx

The sedation and op itself was easy , sedation fantastic can’t remember a thing about it lol. For me afterwards it was the pain in my shoulders and arms . Going home was ok , roundabouts hurt lol. The last few days have been hard. It’s been more painful than I thought it would be and I’m no chicken I can assure u 😉 sleeping upright is challenging but loads of pillows a bottle of water and your drugs by your side is a must. Day 4 and it is starting to get easier, I’m still on painkillers but not as many now. My strapping is itchy and my right boob is gurgling and making farting noises :-/ . On the whole it’s been a bigger operation than I’d thought but I know I’m going to love the result . Good luck , make sure I have a week at least off work and someone to look after u xx

Oh and I had 600cc unders xx

@lisamaria my admission time was 7am, was the first one to go down at 10:20 and was discharged at 4. So all quite quick! I chose to go home straight away as I knew the pain would be worse the next morning and I live 3 hours away. Have you chosen the surgeon already?xxx
