I’m 2wpo and my nipples are literally sooooo sensitive!! Even when my hair falls on them! Before my op I always had really sensitive nipples anyway but now it’s like 1000x worse. Also they seem to sick out so much you can see them through my sports bras and my clothes on top! Did anyone else have this when did it start to settle down?? Xx

Hi Abi, My nipples are really sensitive too. Apparantly its quite normal because the nerves have been stretched around the implant. The outer sheath has been damaged and exposed the nerve underneath, a bit like a live wire!! The good news is its better to have hyper sensitivity because it means the nerve is still intact, if it were numb then the nerve could have been severed.
I have researched and found fresh ginger tea is excellent for nerve repair , also vitamin B complex, Omegea 3 oils, eating plenty of protein like fish and chicken and dark green veg like kale. All this helps the nerve repair.
I am 3 weeks post op and its getting better. at first all the skin on my boobs felt sunburnt and very sensitive as well as my nipples! Now my skin is fine and my nipples are getting better, I would say about 50% there, still got further healing to go.
but Ginger tea is deffo a good drink to speed up healing xx

I’m so glad I read this because I am literally having this same feeling and I’m 2wpo today! I’m going to give some of your remedys a try though and see if they help as I just feel like I have sunburnt nipples at the moment and the slight touch hurts! Xx
