I have my op next week and am staying overnight due to having an uplift too! I was wondering if there was anything I needed to bring for staying the night. I assume you just wear your gown to sleep in (if you sleep at all!) or do you need to bring anything to wear for that. Any help would be great 🙂

Hey I didn’t stay overnight in the hospital but overnight in a hotel. All I literally used was my phone charger, slippers to walk to theatre in, Macom bra, loose clothing for when I went home e.g a zip up hoody and shoes I could get on easy. Also took extra pillows and a v pillow to help sleeping in the hotel and for the car journey home. You won’t need them in the hospital though cause they have electric beds so you can keep the head rest up. Took a few wash bits, the next day my mam helped wash my under arms and used roll on deodorant and helped me tie my hair up. You don’t really need that much, I just ate and drank what was provided and watched the tv there xx

Hiya totally agree with Jessica response I had an overnight and I found wet wipes really helped me I used water wipes as they’re practically pure. My toothbrush, some fruit and a meal supplement powder as I knew I’d be really hungry straight after. Had some peppermint sweets to help my throat afterwards as it tends to hurt afterwards cos they sometimes stick tube down it to help u breathe I believe thts wht I read on here anyway.

I didn’t have a pillow on the way home and I had unders and felt fine. I wore a comfy tracksuit and a button up shirt underneath. Was on my phone all the time messaging mates didn’t even watch the tv or read the mags I brought along.

    All the best hun x
