OVERS or UNDERS?! I’ve always heard unders were better and less risky, yet I’ve seen so many women go for overs, how come? I thought overs were more prone to rippling and capsular contracture? I know some women have no choice but it seems a lot have opted for overs instead? Genuinely curious. (First consultation tomorrow) Can you please all upload pics of your new boobs saying whether you’ve had unders or overs just so I can seee if there’s a difference image wise. Thanks !!
Hi ya, Ishmarie,
I’ve added you as a friend so you can take a look at my photos in my profile. I had unders, even if I could have had overs I would have still chosen unders. Xx
I have been advised overs as fairly active/like using the gym and unders will always have some amount distortation when the muscles are flexed. Its thrown me slight as had always envisioned getting unders. The rates of CC happening are slightly higher but not massively apparently. I’m having a second consult as i want exact figures and more info. Also rippling shouldnt be a massive issue with now they use cohesive gel silicone, providing you don’t loose alot of tissue etc. I think recovery seems to be quicker and less paimful also but everyone is different. I’m still researching so would also love to see pictures of both xxx
@Claire thank you, just had a look, they’ve healed amazingly! Bet you love them! Yeah I felt that way too up until today haha xx which surgeon did you have?
@myafernihough I was exactly the same I was going to choose unders no matter what but I’m being swayed towards overs, I have my first consultation tomorrow so I’ll see from there and yeah I’m hoping to see pics to compare the two! Xxx
I have overs and unders wherent right for me overs give u more fullness at the top my Sugoen said witch I’ve found true and what I needed also if u use the gym a lot overs are better and if you go under the muscle when going the gym the muscle contracts forcing the implant to shift and move slightly the risks off rippling are the same as having unders mr traynor said and he said rippling happens 99.9 of the time weather it’s seen or felt anyways xxxx
Overs cos I didn’t want much pain ha ha. No a lot of my friends have had their boobs done and did over xx
Hi Hun no sorry I’ve only had overs but if I was too choose I’d go with overs anyways for the fullness that I wanted and you can sometimes feeling rippling with out seeing it xxx
I’ve added a couple of you ladies with overs. See so many pics of unders but not so many of overs. Hope you don’t mind x
I was dead set on wanting unders until I went to my consultation with mr Traynor and he said overs. I had the breast tissue to
Cover it and there’s not actually that many more risks then unders. After looking at loads of boobs on here and seeing how natural a lot of the overs looked I was more then happy. For some reason when I first started researching I had it in my head that overs looked more fake, but that’s so not true! And I agree with the above mr traynor told me that literally everyone gets rippling whether you see or feel it. I’ve stlll not felt or seen any on mine and I’m 4 months xx
Don’t believe the horror stories about the pain of unders. I had unders and actually rang MYA 2 days after because I felt absolutely fine. I was out shopping the day after my op. I was showering and washing my own hair after my week consultation.
I didn’t have a choice between the two because I had very little breast tissue, but given the choice, I think I would have had unders. The only thing that would have swayed me to overs is the pain of unders but I had none what so ever! I think unders give you a more natural look but I’m not too sure. Just seeing them drop and fluff is the most amazing feeling ever! X
