Hi everyone! I had my consultation with dr Fiumara tonight at the Fitzroy and she has said that as I am so petite on the top half I can only have max 250cc and even on the day might have to have 225cc! I also have to have unders as I have 0 breast tissue! Can anyone give me any advice on the pain?..I am so scared of the pain of having unders? Also is the meds strong enough to keep the pain away?
Any advice is amazing as I’m so nervous for this! Thank you I advance girls xxxx
Hi Charlotte,
I had my operation yesterday with Dr Fallahdar and similarly to you wasn’t allowed to go over 235cc under due to my frame.
The pain upon waking up from surgery was quite bad but they instantly put me on 2 types of painkillers as well as morphine which isnstantly helped.
I have just woken up from a full nights sleep now and am in a little pain which is normal since I only took my painkillers about 11 hours ago, so waiting for the 2 I just took to kick in. I would say it’s more discomfort than pain though, like someone is just pushing down on my chest.
All day yesterday I was amazed at how well I felt! It all just feels like one giant bruise at the minute but it’s certainly more of a manageable discomfort than it is pain.
Hope this helps!
@oalammas hiya! Oh wow did you get yours under the muscle aswell? That helps a lot thank you! Are the painkillers strong enough to completely get rid of your pain?x
Yes I had partially under the muscle. Like you I had read before my surgery that under or partially under the muscle is more painful but to be honest I was expecting it to be worse than this! The painkillers are strong and are definitely helping, there’s just a lot of pressure on my chest from where my skin has been stretched so much. I’ve been told to wear a band as well as a bra for the next 7 days which will help the implants move down. The band hurts a little bit just from where it feels so tight around my chest but I do take it off every now and then to relieve the pressure. I can’t lift my arms too much but I don’t feel nauseous, and I certainly don’t feel any pain whatsoever the incisions which is good!!
Could I see some pics please of the 235’s I’m having my op a week on Thursday! I had a choice of under or over but I went with over! X
Hey Hun, I had 250cc unders and I won’t lie, I wasn’t ready for the pain as so many girls said it wasn’t that bad. This might not be your experience by the way, everyone is different but best to be prepared for the worst. I woke up very tight and in pain …I found it very hard to walk or dress myself or anything to needed constant care for about 3 days – couldn’t lift my arms at all and needed my boyfriend to pull my pants down for the loo lol. Couldn’t move out of bed or close doors or do anything that requires use of chest muscles. It eased up over the days but i still struggle to do somethings (I’m 11 days post op). So be ready to be quite immobile for a week or so and watch out for morning boob – OUCH!! It’s all worth it though of course xx
@leannekelsall hiya! thank you for getting back to me sorry ive got soo many questions!! was it unbearable pain or more of like a pushing on your chest? my twin is gonna have 2 days off with me and im going to get my boyfriend to have some days off too! Did you find that the medication helped a lot? I am so scared of the pain! glad ur feeling better though ive added you if thats okay xx
No deffo not unbearable – it’s manageable. It’s more tightness and heaviness than pain. It’s like pulling a muscle feeling but on an extreme scale. But as long as you take your painkillers regularly you’ll be ok – even if it stops hurting, still take them for the first 2-3 days as the pain can creep up on you, especially first thing in the morning. I was setting alarms for 4am so I didn’t miss a dose. The nurse like to you try and only take them for a few days though as they’re not designed to be taken lots xx
Feel free to add me on Insta – ba_nov_2015 I’ve got photos on there x
