Day 3 from the surgery and I’m in quite a lot of pain, it’s so tight around my chest. I hate this strapping! Ice pack doesn’t seem to work 🙁 I’m keeping up to date with my meds… Just this pain when I move is unbearable. Anyone else had a hard time day 3? X

Yes Hun I’m day 4 now but still in pain when I move. My left was operated on twice due to a hamatoma so maybe this is why I’m in pain still. I just want to be out and about I hate sitting around

People seem say day 3 is one of the hardest ones.. I deffo hit a low, fed up period on that day too. The tightness and discomfort when I moved was grating on me by then! Day 5 was a turning point for me though, since then I’ve been basically back to normal; getting dressing, going to uni/hairdressrs/shopping (taking it easy though obviously!). So fingers crossed it wont be too much longer for you. Get some friends to keep you company monged out on the sofa all day with films etc, they took my mind off the discomfort and added bonus of them doing everything for you so you don’t have to move as much! Hope it gets better soon x

I feel like I’ve been in agony since I got back home from having my op on the 2nd. Everytime I try and move I have sharp stabbing pains and can’t walk properly. Getting up is a nightmare! Today is better than yesterday though as I couldn’t stop being sick so couldn’t keep meds down. Hopefully after a few days can get on top of the pain! Hopefully!

The pain was excruciating and still is with certain movements. Although sometimes it is a bonus to have people doing stuff for you my surgeon said get back to everyday activity ASAP and you will heal quicker xx

Yeah that’s exactly what I had…shallow breathing. Feel sick all the time couldn’t get out of bed for a week always thirsty out of breAthe couldn’t walk for more than 5 mins but once I had strapping off it took about 3 days to get completely better now I feel normal. I went driving today and it was hard to get into 5th gear but that was it … I. 13 days post op
